The look on the faces of the judging panel when Greg Pritchard begins to sing is priceless!
As for Jackie Evancho, she was voted through by her fans to America's Got Talent.
Wonderful that the internet allows such access for all.

She's quite an amazing singer, especially considering the age and though I assume the spotlight will fade some as she matures (though from some of the clips she seems rather mature for her age in many respects), I'm certain she'll find plenty of opportunities singing.
Some clips I saw of "3D" fractals (as you might already be familiar with, I question whether or not considering sight as a 3 dimensional perception is very accurate, but I don't want to drift too much. In any case these are beautifully done) with musical accompaniment:

These "3D Fractals" I know better as 'screen savers' that accompany music, lol..... So that's what they are called. Thank you for that tidbit. I observe that they come in several general themes, and the perspective of being in motion within a 3D object in space is interesting, while the perspective of holding position and observing the motion and changes of direction and form is likewise of great intrigue to me.
Always sends my mind into the ponder of where the distinction lies between that which is 'within' and that which lies 'without'. Size, scale and direction all intertwined with the perception of the passage of time.
Here is another that I found on a quick search.....

Great links and I enjoyed listening to that last video, but I think they've got much of it wrong ... maybe not, but from what I can tell 10 or 11-D string theories implicitly assume a "classical" 4-D spacetime in their derivations (or at least as far as I can tell that appears to be the logic behind them).
I love exploring, but anywhere "else" is no more or less significant than an unknown origin, unless there's specifically a way to determine that it is specifically "elsewhere" and not "here" or "there" or "wherever" etc. and things don't exist anywhere specific unless the manners of reaching them and memories of those remain.
So it can be great to head out for a day of sightseeing, but the value of all of that remains with how precise an origin is maintained and a map showing how to get around the place.
So though a PS3, air conditioning and maybe an HDTV displaying a 3-D fractal flyby sequence in surround sound audio can be great ... there are still reasons to keep this as well:
Yes, makes sense. Maybe there's not a specific reason to "be home" but there are at least reasons to hang on to pathways and manners of getting back and reasons why leaving a few acres of land untouched could serve a purpose.
Here's a more modern version of the same song:
Of course, I'm usually always speaking figuratively and abstractly ... but also rather generally too.
Here's something for funEven the virtual varieties can be a pleasure too *hug*
Enjoy your day, Lorrina.

I have indeed been enjoying my day, Steve, and thank you for kind sentiments. Also all of the musical selections, each one lovely in it's own way. Worked at the office this morning, provided car pool and shopping assist for my elderly neighbor and then tended critters etc. It was over 20C this afternoon, so just as the temperature peaked and was starting to drop off, I saddled Caramel and Madelaine and took them forth for a ride. My initial plan was to go 12 km but the weather was so nice I decided to go the whole 18 km trail. The girls are in pretty good shape considering the winter and late spring held us back a fair bit. They are standing tied at the rail presently and I will put them up and give them their evening feed shortly. I've got to retire early also as tomorrow is the office in the morning and then a nap and back to graveyards. Tomorrow afternoon, I'll do a bit of gardening, as it is time to finish planting the rest of the garden over the next few days.
I took a couple of skips sideways from Katrina Elam and came across this one which I could somewhat relate to, having been on the less advantaged side of the tracks.
