.....there comes a nicker from outside the Pub. Caramel has a request, but having no quarters, and also no pockets, she puts the tap on her rider for a quarter.....

    Walking into the local pub....

    Bartender: What would you like?
Reply: Nothing thanks, I'm just here to socialise.
Bartender: It's going to be a boring night for you my friend.
Reply: It's all good my man, I'm already drunk.

The newcomer declined any beverage, professing to be drunk already......on life?

As Robert brought the bucket of cool water, Caramel entered the pub, which was designed to accommodate all known and potential life forms.

Sipping a delightful Shiraz, the woman selected a music video to play on the holographic screen wall, a very contemplative instrumental piece by Yanni.

Caramel daintily drew down her bucket of water, then stood by her mistress in rapt enjoyment of the music, watching the images flow.

She wandered over to meem, touching him gently on the shoulder in passing, a friendly equine greeting. Meem seemed unsurprised to find a friendly horse in Robert's bar, this being the Many World's Pub, after all.

Caramel adjusted her angle of approach to Zelta, gently bobbing her head twice, before coming to a halt in front of him.

The woman observed her horse with interest, and wondered how Zelta would tolerate a formal greeting of equals from a horse.

The horse was regarding Zelta, holding his gaze. 15 seconds passed, and now Caramel extended her neck slowly, ears forward, bringing her face in close proximity of Zelta's, remaining thus, as she gently breathed of him and on him, her breath the scent of clover blossom and summer yarrow.

Zelta tolerated this regard, while Meem looked on bemused, wondering what the horse was going to do next.

Caramel was waiting for Zelta to give the formal response to her greeting. She was expecting him to inhale deeply and then breath out gently across her nostrils.

'We breathe the same air, we share this time, I mean you no harm, we are one,' the traditional greeting of equal respect among equines.

Zelta remained motionless, relaxed, while Caramel held her pose and repeated the breathing prompt. Now she extended her neck even further, until the whiskers of her muzzle actually touched Zelta's chest, the warm herbal breath of the horse contrasting markedly with the few cool drops of spring water that now released their hold of Caramel's muzzle, to land on Zelta whose reaction was......

The music of Yanni held thrall....

Yanni's playing and the video's dancing made fro a very good flow, LabelWench. I also like his 'Tribute' album that has singers, but for now, Hans Zimmer:

Meem thinks to himself, "never look a gift horse in the mouth." And wonders why if this is really the many worlds pub, how could one not be "high" on the atmosphere? If Meem drank too fast, too soon, he wouldn't probably wouldn't make any sense at all, he rarely does as-is, it's quite strange. Perhaps the water is so clean, it makes him gleam, like a daydream, is all this what it seems ... he thinks to himself. He wonders if he has dreamed for so long ... that he doesn't even know what a dream is anymore. A gentle touch ... being his first time in, at least that he is able to recall. Meem is more surprised than you think he might be. He is able to keep his composure, and scans the bar for someone to let go of it with. What's the right song and dance to spark ... something out of the ordinary he wonders.

Meem listens for conversations and tries to find the right ones to get into. Is there anyone listening he wonders, "Maybe I should catch a buzz." But, if he is drunk already, maybe someone will have to really get his attention, if they want to talk to him. Subtleties actions, subtle reactions ... a delicate dance, for delicate beauty.

Re: Pub songs: Now Playing: (_________)

.....Zelta remained motionless, regarding closely the face of Caramel resting lightly on his chest. Their exchange was soundless, motionless, deeply personal, and universal, without paradox.

Yanni's music and the associated images ended, and at this cue, Caramel faded gently into reverse, leaving Zelta to his contemplations.

She pricked her ears at Meem as he uttered something that sounded like "supercalifragilisticexpialidocious".

"Sounds good! Can I have some too?", she communicated by means of telepathy on a bandwave that all could hear, giving Meem a rub between the shoulder blades with a taut muzzle. Horses scratch each other on the withers, it being an impossible place to reach for oneself, and humans likewise can't reach their shoulder blades. Humans being thin-skinned creatures, she was careful not rub too hard.

Meanwhile, thewoman observed that Austin, Meem and Robert were regarding Caramel with surprise as a female voice, not her own, was distinctly "heard" in their minds.

    Only Zelta appeared unsurprised.

The woman, by eye contact, bade Caramel to the dance floor. They moved to the music, the horse mirroring the woman's actions. Simple steps, yet artistically sequenced, and Caramel gracefully flowed forward, spinning quarter, half or full, pausing, stepping in place and backwards, while the gentlemen pondered this unusual display.

Robert busied himself preparing something behind the bar....
