Why is it that the human species, for the larger portion of it, seems to be scared of the unknown? Why do we not embrace the unknown with wonder and hope rather than fear and terrible possibility? What exactly does it mean that we are in-fact able to do this? How are we able to do this? What is cognitive, or conscious thought?
What if the "unknown" became "known?" What if aliens said, "while we have a vast technological advantage over you, and are superior in many other ways, we were once like you ... and we wish to help. We don't have all the answers you seek, and we cannot give all the help you would ask for, but we can help." It's really hard for me to imagine how it would all happen, but I would like to think that it would somehow, of course ... I suppose the "human" side of me would also be fearful at the same time, because great wars have raged and come under the guise of peace.
Ancient alien astronauts ... it's seems like a wild concept, but is it really? The hardest thing to imagine is that if something were going to happen, and they could help prevent it, or ... something else ... that they would stand idly by for whatever reason and let it happen. Especially if some of the mysteries of old world architecture are a result of their influence ... or themselves. Why get the ball rolling and watch it roll over the edge. Doesn't seem to make sense to me. Polar change, solar flare, comet/asteroid, climate change, take your pick ... what's going to happen, and is anyone going to help, before or after the train wreck?
