I've heard back from melanie and she would very much like to be part of the community again. She has agreed to abide by the forum rules and act in a professional manner so I have lifted her ban.

All members are reminded not to make posts with the intention of upsetting another member and provoking an angry response. That's the definition of a forum troll - one who dangles an insult, a rude comment, a harrassment of some kind, with the hope that someone bits by responding with more rude comments, name calling, etc. So, the Governor says let's all act in an appropriate manner to keep this from happening.

Hello, MJA -

That's what I was thinking too when I read how well Robert has handled this unfortunate incident with Melanie.

And I feel that I have to add another story to the list of Robert's accomplishments:
As some of you people in the toequest community may have noticed, I did not post anything at all during the past year or so as something - or somebody - apparently altered, over the Internet, some of the codes on my computer such that, in spite of all kinds of virus and spy protection programs, there suddenly appeared a duplicate but "dead" ToeQuest Home Page on my screen. (I know there are simpler explanations for thiis happening, but these "somebodies" have harassed me already since 22 years and even CSIS, the Canadian Security Intelligence Service, believed the evidence). Anyway, none of the links on this "dead" page responded to my clicks and I also noticed that some items on it were out of date. Needless to say, it was a very depressing and frustrating time for me to see myself completely cut off from Toequest by some unknown agency that had invaded my computer. Other Web sites functioned well, so it obviously wasn't really a general computer problem but a well targeted invasion of my privacy.

Michael's actions saved the day by sending me concerned private messages and those - surprisingly - did come through the restrictions put on my computer. Eventually I tried answering those messages through their links - and it worked! But there was still no way for me to post anything or even access my own posts, blog or article. Then Tina came to the rescue - and, after a still possible PM, she was kind enough to post for me something that amounted to a "cry for help". She even readily agreed to do that again, but I hesitated to take advantage of this her generous offer for fear that she might also become a victim of my "invaders". Also, by that time I was so desperate that I was ready to cancel my Internet connection (my only intellectual connection to the outside world due to my age-related walking difficulties) and so I sent Robert a few months ago a PM that I entitled "Good-bye and good luck" to at least let him know WHY I intended to leave the toequest community.

And then Robert (who had already helped me privately with good advice on numerous occasions before) really got into decisive action himself by trying to fix the problems with my computer per long distance. In spite of his own heavy work load and plumbing problems, he must have spent an enormous amount of time and energy - as well as money - in attempting to find out WHAT was wrong with my computer and how to lift up my deflated spirits with long encouraging emails. - Apparently his unrelenting efforts had the desired effect: The "dead" ToeQuest Home Page disappeared from my computer and the "live" Home Page (that I get now) gives me access to all links once more and even lets me post again. - However, I am a bit worried that my "invaders" won't take revenge on Robert for solving my problems and I hope that they rather change their "secret" spying method on me personally to a more acceptable way of "open" spying as anonymous "guests" on the wonderful new ideas that come out of the Toequest Web site.

So, thanks for the above thought, MJA, and "Long live GOVERNOR ROBERT !!!" - I sure would vote for him if I were an American and I also wish that more polititians all over the world were as kind, compassionate, diplomatic - and courageous - as he is: A true FEARLESS LEADER.
