The Museum of Tolerance opened in Manhattan this week, on a mission to help the world transcend discrimination and prejudice. Great timing, because there's been a lot of that lately, with angry opponents to the proposed Islamic center and mosque near Ground Zero deriding the project as a "house of evil" where terrorists will "worship their monkey-god." Thankfully, the Museum of Tolerance is here to advocate for acceptance join the opposition. Looks like tolerance really does belong in a museum, eh eh?
i·ro·ny

They were determined to make this a real vacation
by not wearing anything that would identify them
as clergy. As soon as the plane landed they headed
for a store and bought some really outrageous shorts,
shirts, sandals, sunglasses, etc.
The next morning they went to the beach
dressed in their 'tourist' garb.
They were sitting on beach chairs, enjoying a drink, the sunshine and the scenery when a
'drop dead gorgeous' blonde in a topless bikini came walking straight towards them..
They couldn't help but stare.
As the blonde passed them she smiled and said
'Good Morning, Father ~ Good Morning, Father,'
nodding and addressing each of them individually,
then she passed on by.
They were both stunned.
How in the world did she know they were priests?
So the next day, they went back to the store
and bought even more outrageous outfits.
These were so loud you could hear them before you
even saw them! Once again, in their new attire, they
settled down in their chairs to enjoy the sunshine.
After a little while, the same gorgeous blonde, wearing
a different colored topless bikini, taking her sweet time,
came walking toward them.
Again she nodded at each of them, said
'Good morning, Father ~ Good morning, Father,'
and started to walk away.
One of the priests couldn't stand it any longer and said,
'Just a minute, young lady.'
'Yes, Father?'
'We are priests and proud of it, but I have to know,
how in the world do you know we are priests, dressed as we are?'
She replied,
'Father, it's me, Sister Kathleen!'
A smile - is a sign of joy.
A hug - is a sign of love.
A laugh - is a sign of happiness.
And a friend like me??
Hell, that's just a sign of good taste!!

True story,
A few days ago, while standing in the checkout line at a very large and well known box store, my granddaughter (5 yrs old) blurts out:
(With head shaking from side to side)
"Hey; Momma, I can speak Spanish! Blah, blah; taco; blah, blah, blah".
When he said "suffer the little children" I wonder if he meant to say; they will make you suffer?

I took my family to work once to introduce them to some coworkers and my oldest daughter at the time was around 4 years old.
I had them meet a couple of the engineers and she got bit shy and pulled her dress over her head to hide her face ... guess how much she was wearing under that?(Now that's quite a way of introducing oneself LOL)
Here's a funny clip of another one of those (in)sufferable kids:

I don't know if you've ever seen any episodes of the Big Bang Theory, but it's really funny:
Don't give the grandkids coffee either - it's apparently a "gateway drug"!

Steve,
Thanks again. I have seen a few episodes (and had a few) but apparently my time in all night radio left me immune to the gateway effects. I can drink 3 pots of strong coffee and curl up on the leeward side of a large headstone to catch a good long nap.
