Hi Mel...thanks for the link, I watched that video and then went from there to "Consciousness: The Enslavement of Man by Consciousness." So just afew comments to you here.

The title above the video.."Stop! Consciousness Toxicity."...If I could take Carl Jung's theory of consciousness and the structure of the psyche and its development and place it on this page, which I could not because transcribed it is immense in files, it could easily bear the above title. The human ego is the most misunderstood structure within the psyche and in saying that I will honestly tell you that, that is so because it holds immense importance to the possibility for humans to integrate consciousness. The possibility to integrate consciousness is rooted to the strongest impulse within us because "integration" is the end process of the highest civility within mankind and is his/her/us/our only hope to contribute to the creation of a world marked by intelligence (wisdom) which is the highest aspect of this strange emotion we call love. Civility to mankind would not be the creation of the world as "utopia"....it would simply be a world worth living in.
The human ego as a developing structure within consciousness is so important because without it there can be no integration process! So it is not something to be left by the wayside or discarded and stepped outside of, the idea as Jung slowly and tediously put it together and put it forth is that we are failing in its creation and development so therefore failing as a humanity when we reach the fork in the road and consciousness meets two possibilities...one road slow self-destruction and violence...the other road to transcendence to our deepest nature as humans who live more fully as "hu...man." Who was "Hu...man"...??? The ancient God of Brotherhood...depicted as the "Lion-being" a symbol of the psyche wholly completed.. over 34,000 years old and first found on the edge of pre-history. Jung was so impressed by this Universal symbol of the Psych...he called it "Aion" and put its image on the cover of his last book he wrote before his death..

Thanks for the link...I did read the one video with great caution as again it is only knowledge coming from the mind and thoughts of man! I take caution with these information bytes because there is a difference between knowldege and wisdom....wisdom so coming from the heart....

i really believe in everything the guy spoke about regarding the shadow self.
It rang very loud and true in my ears.

Videos like this one help to remind me of my true self.

Jung pondering on the shadow-self...

Young children have a complex psychic life , a problem of magnitude for parents, educators and doctors but a normal child has no real problems of its own...only adults can have self-doubts and be at variance with self...the early developing personality holds the possibility of disturbance of psychic equilibrium that rise from external facts or inner psychic tension and sensitivity...alongside the early developing personality develops the shadow-self which is absolutely crucial for survival of the early developing personality.
The building up of the beginning personality begins at schoolage when adaptation to the outer world begins...This is the phase of building up the ego. The development of consciousness in its natural unfolding is the child who flows naturally from unconscious inherited and instinctive dynamic archetypal psychic patterns. In disturbance to the development of consciousness is the child whose early developing personality is too shocked, driving them to an inner fortress of deep introspective states...where a growing concern about the deeper meanings of life can fester. The difference in experience lies in the child left to flow naturally with unthreatening experiences with love, nature, sport and and work.
The young growing part of the personality , if prevented from living and experience or if kept in check, generates fear and changes into fear....this is the developing shadow-self...
