    Hypocrisy and Elitism.

    I have a question:

Is there any difference between those who attacked the expanded thinkers of the past, as "Heretics"; any different then those of today who attack expanded thinkers, under the banner of "Elitism"?

    Re: Hypocrisy and Elitism.

Galileo almost had relativity figured out as well… and there were some other, too, labeled a heretics by the Church because they discovered things that didn't match to what the Church made up.

Making things up leads to a flawed 'concept of good' which labels and punishes the contrary as evil.

At some point the Church should have given up, for example, about that evil spirits caused physical and mental ills, but they still persist to this day about the mental ills part.

    Hi Allen;

I'm a little confused. In your thinking the Heretics ( the expanded thinkers), are being attacked by ????

Also, you have the Elitist attacking the expanded thinkers. Who are ????

Also, isn't it true that the Heretics and the Anti-Elitist attacked first?

    Best,

    Pat

The Elitist. Those who expressed "Angrily" that their vision of the Universe was superior, and all else are delusional. Back then it was the leaders of the churches and their flunkies that tried to keep down the expanded thinkers. Thank goodness they could not.

The Elitist. Those who expressed "Angrily" that their vision of the Universe was superior, and all else are delusional. Today it is the leaders of the Universities and their flunkies. Lets just hope they can not win.

So true Pat they did, and once again they are starting to stand up and fight back against those that want to restrict expanded thought. Lets hope they win.

    Re: Hypocrisy and Elitism.

Once one uses a specific word, one has to declare the word in all its specifics, especially if one is using a magic kind of word or overloading the word with another meaning. So, for clarity, if one uses a word, one must fully explain that word, and in light of the Theory of Everything, one must also do that on scientifically satisfying grounds.

It is then, only natural here on ToeQuest that people will ask for clarification when that doesn't happen. This should not be unexpected, but all the better if the poster clarifies in the first place, obviating the need for people to keep probing. Getting to this point is not against the poster personally.

It is then sometimes that it is shown that there is not really anything much behind the use of a word.

As for those who clearly and concisely speak in order to make their points well understood, this is not being "elite" or any such thing, but to genuinely state one's findings such that they will come across all the better.

Even those using magic words like "soul" would be well served to define their terms such that all can know, since it could mean many things. For example, some specifically say that a soul replicates the functions of the brain like mind, consciousness, and such, or even that the brain does not actually do any of these things. An, of course, they would then supply good reasons for the specific definition being so. Only then can responders know what is really being talked about; however, if no such specifics are forthcoming, then one is left with a vague, vaporous idea which cannot really be dialoged with to the fullest.

It might even come to the embarrassment that they made it up, so this should always be said upfront as well.

Sometimes it is even a surprise to the poster that the idea boiled down to little substance.

Now, such is the nature of true debate and no one should be astounded that this can happen. It is not the case generally that anyone is out to get anyone.

    Hi Austin:
If all could join in under one single doctrine there would be no conflict. But even that might slow down the process of learning. A group of people is like an increase in mass it requires more energy/being to move it. It moves more slowly. The Soul has weight, so then the plural of same multiplies the weight. When ever mankind joins together under the direction of a document that does not change so as to take into consideration changes that occur to our environment in time this will become a problem. We have free will, it is better that we follow a doctrine of no doctrine. Just to define the most basic foundation is best. Then we are each free to create our own reality, for it is just I that will live in the reality that I create for myself, the same is true for us all.

About the defining of words: The word soul as I use it, is a single strand of space that is formatted by the time that we experiance as we live it. This may be multiple lives. It is in the form of data. That data is what results as character. The brain is an interface device to access what is in the soul. The brain does not have enough room to store what is in the soul.

The way I use that word I am not sure whether it should be capitalized or not for it is of the same nature as the word God. Both of these words are of a personal nature. To me the word God is not the same as the Divine force, That is a collective of all things of both thought and matter. Everything that is, is of the divine force. The word God is for each of us to define for ourselves.

    Re: Hypocrisy and Elitism.

Hello to all Allen, Austin Pat.

Have a wonderful day, on this the day of thanks.

To me this is a very special day. For to me it is a day to remember that all life is one single organism. This single organism is the image of the Trinity. This is what I see as my God. This is the interface between the existence mediums.

When we eat, it is as a communion with the Trinity for all that lives is the body of the Lord. This is what I remember today. I remember to thank the Lord, for I eat of the body and drink of the blood of the body of the Lord. We can not survive lest we are in communion with the Lord.

Say a thank you for me as I will for thee.

    Have a blessed Thanksgiving Day.

    Re: Hypocrisy and Elitism.

Thanks for the good wishes, John.

I do see that the magic words are all self defined, differing from person to person, giving us a great multitude of definitions that even greatly conflict with one another. This seems to preclude the magic words from defining anything truly absolute, as they are but relative to the individual's nature. I made a massive list once somewhere in one of the threads.

I'm just amazed at the variety of the pronouncements made…

Wish you he best on this day and always.
