If the "successes" were to be defined by the ability to breed, then your statement is largely incorrect. The very wide-ranging nature of the mutations across the genome can only exist by virture of successful breeding...no one is devoid of genetic mutuation.

If the "failures" simply failed to breed, there would be no mutations.

The stuff in between was neither here nor there, as some is still around, either active or turned off as junk DNA.

So called, hypothesied, "junk" DNA is a presumptuous term. It has yet to be proved "junk." There is evidence to the contrary...

There were no lifetime guarantees—the Neanderthals didn't make it.

No, for all my ancestors survived to breed. Being excellent at sex, they produced.

Hi Mikal,

The point was, regarding this concept of 'evolution'
is that there is no such thing as evolution, it doesn't exist, it's only an idea in our minds.
It's just something mankind has made up, he uses this idea to measure, weigh and evaluate our existence/reality.

As a humble, passive observer, i am only reporting my surround, what i see, what i've heard, is that our planet is on the verge of total destruction.
The cause of destruction is overactivity.
Out of the millions of species in this world the human-species is the only one that has indulged in overactivity.
Overactivity due to too much intelligence, too much thinking, too much consumerism.
Consumerism kills ecosystems, it is the biggest act of violence against nature.
Due to exponential overactivity,i don't see a good future unless we slow down.
Mankind has extraordinary intelligence...or so it seems.
We can use that unique intelligence two ways.
1) for the better
2) for the worst

Also lets not forget that Man is endowed with a spiritual nature.
