Bursting bright firecrackers,
Till, January it seemed we
Just had to stare at the sun.
Celebrate Christmas this year.
To celebrate Christmas with zest.
They decided, till everything
Was right, they would not rest.
Maha sagara (Indian Ocean) to the
Himalayas they searched, but
Could not find a Christmas tree.
Found the sorrow-less evergreen
This was the evergreen Ashoka tree.
Nothing can express their
Had the tree of India in their
Wrong, for them it seemed.
For all classes of Hindus.
Light like the Christians put.
They called some Christians
Alternating with their own
Bhajans for Ganesha, the lord.
There was something amiss.
They observed, and told the
Hindus, you’ve missed the turtle doves.
The Hindus were crushed, embarrassed
To a point, But it doesn’t matter
They said, if you’ve done it with love.
To tell the truth, I've never seen Christmas in reality, all I've seen is on T.V. So, if there is something wrong, please don't be offended.
Merry Christmas everyone
