re: The Quest for Deepest Truth of Human Existence.

It is . . . childish and ignorant (to) talk of duality and non-duality; the enlightened ones laugh at all this. However, without such a discussion based on duality and non-duality it is not possible to clean one's consciousness of ignorance. It is only in that spirit that I have dealt with all this, dear friend.

Perhaps I am among the unevolved when I suggest that our very nature is both our most limiting and our most liberating potential.

    I admire your interest.

Mis-identification with relative phenomenality is very constricting.
you speak of "nature" a byproduct, phenomenality?

Can the "I" you think you are, be substantiated?

Ask youself, "Who am "I", really?.
Three pounds of maleable flesh in it's corporality? What vivify's and motivates this you, who you think you are? The flesh?
What makes you/us think? What is thoughts origen? How does it come "to be", that is, made manifest?

Attractive, As energy tries to define itself but the T.o.E. remains; what is the cosmological constant that answers the cosmological question [formulae]?

Some would argue that our 'first true purpose' is to know who/what we truly are. Then, may His Will be done and not my own.
That kind of thinking and acting would be beneficial to all of Life.

But of course "we" would have it otherwise.

" 'I', would rather rule in hell,
than serve in heaven/bliss." ~Dante's Inferno

Living a "Moral and Virtuous Life, not completely driven by material things" can be hell [pardon the expression] for some. It's a matter of balance for most. Spiritual/material.

"Seek ye first, T-KOG [denounce/dethrone, the powers of the darkside cravings, urges, and the relentless egotistical force's of desire of/for earthly things' suffering as well as our Temporal happiness, they create our of Life], and all these 'things' shall be added unto thee." mho [shameless plug] as, the ego is 'never satisfied', always driving us on to 'more']

The way of nature is unchanging.

Not knowing constancy leads to disaster.

Knowing constancy, the mind is open.

With an open mind, you will be openhearted.

Being openhearted, you will act royally.

Being royal, you will attain the divine.

Being divine, you will be at one with the Tao.

Being at one with the Tao is eternal.

And though the body dies, the Tao will never pass away.

    Well said Drifter.

Childhood by Jim Burns, from his book At Home With the Inner Self

    An excerpt:

The child-like state is the state that every human alive is trying to get to.
When I was about twelve, I came to the conclusion that adults were insane.
They were as rammy as billy goats, and so is everyone I've ever met.
Until I meet an adult with the flowering feeling and drive of a young child, I will know I've never met a sane person.

There is a big difference between childish and child-like.
The general state of consciousness of the child is a state that we would label euphoric.
The child avoids any training that tries to burst his balloon.
In our education system, all so-called learning is imposed upon the kids from without and they hate it.
If the desire to learn something comes from within, the kid will devour whatever it is.
