    "To make an omelt, you have to crack a few eggs."

    If you never open either, you will always be left wondering, "what could have been?"

    Probably a mistake, but like they say, hindsight is 20/20.
    That's similar to something that Drifter said, they both contain nothing.

    1000x=1x
    999x=0x
    999x=0 (this is actually a mistake, but it's a common mistake)
    x=0/999
    x=0

    1000*0=1*0=0

    There's nothing in either envelope (Actually it would be that everything outside the envelope is relatively infinite to it)

    There is no spoon, envelope, pill, bottle, answer, question, problem to solve?

    Just a life to live? hmmm, "no think, just do." ehhh ... I don't know.

    Since that's the case, I opened both.

    One had a check for $26,000.
    The other a prayer.
