Your investment of time and energy in caring for a newborn suffering from separation anxiety gains you considerable respect from this quarter, Greg.

The energy and potential contained within such a tiny and helpless being is an amazing thing to experience first hand. A happy baby is a delight to all who are near, and when an infant is in distress, even if that distress be only in it's infant mind, the discomfort experienced by all within it's considerable range is phenomenal.

The response to the universal sound of distress, be it a human child, or a dolphin, causes an emotional response that triggers our most primal 'fight or flight' instinct.

You could not run or fight.

You could only endure and share the suffering with your little grandson.

The sound of the human heartbeat......in the beginning........and in the end........
So many paths to the same destination,
would, but I could, experience them all...

Hey Sugarbear...thanks for dropping one of those warm, fuzzy moments of life at the end of my day.

I can just picture Gramps (worn-out) with sleeping baby (cried out) on his chest....its priceless.

More than likely the reason why Grampa's will travel great distances and scale high walls to learn all over again how to see life
    through a childs eyes....

Nice way to end the day...thanks....

Re: I'm a Grandaddy .... it feels weird

I had a spirit dream for two nights in a row.
the first was what was now in my life and kingdom,
It was life itself and SO scary. Even my wolf was in my dream and unable to help me as i tried to move as in molasses for i am marked.
I would meet this challenger intrusive spirit face to face with all i was.
    It was not alone.

Last night, i had another dream.
I was going to the forest wild.
I was in need of a spirit walk ... out there.
I was heading for the forest from a plain land and all who i knew.
As I neared the trees my name was called and called over and over to not wanting to look.
    So i turned humble.
I decided in my bowed head of being yet a human to look back.
I slowly turned in my dream to the right but half way into this slow turn an raise of my head i froze.
I had my spirit bear right there eye to eye with me over my right shoulder.
I dared not turn to see him all.
    He was right there.
    That close.
The call to me stopped and I woke.

Today I found out that my son owing into the operation for his shoulder got ignored by his family ride for over 14 hours.
It seems my Daughter on face book as http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=703100715&ref=mfwent to the hospital to.
The one that does not want to chat with me.
The one that is living in the shadows of a full life and all the nasty little beasties that live in such places.
    She was taken there.
    On Wednesday this week late.
Mys son told me she had twins.
    A Boy and a Girl.
    God help the world!

feel free to send the lady your congrats as she would not let me on to say them to her myself if you all would feel so inclined.

I will try to post pics as my son gets them for me.

Re: I'm a Grandaddy .... it feels weird

My goodness, Graham, you had better sit down and take a deep breath!

This undoubtedly is quite a surprise, with you being unaware of your daughter even being in the family way, as per circumstances between you.

Twins are the result of approximately 1.1 % of births in North America. Did your son mention if they babies were monozygotic (identical) or dizygotic (fraternal) twins ?

Interesting that you had a dream two nights in a row, also. Life comes with some interesting developments along the journey....this being the year of multiple blessings upon your family genetics. Are there other cases of twins in your recent family background?

    Kind regards,

    Lorrina

    Cute.....

I dare say, by all appearances your grandchild is open to new experiences, and even willing to confirm first impressions, lol....

That bodes well for developing the ability to seek a balanced perspective, and to not being deterred by first impressions.

    Thank you for sharing.
