    Well Greg,

    Unless you have the small carved boat in the earlier pictures for bragging rights or inspiration, I'm going to jump right in and suggest that you are building a larger scale version of the smaller carved boat, possibly as a gift for a certain grandchild at some point after it has served to defend your title.
