    Twas the Nite before Xmas ..... an all thru the zone ...

    The Wicked Fairy At The Manger

    A gift for the child:

    No wife, kids, home;
    No money sense.
    Unemployable.
    Friends, yes. But the wrong sort –
    The workshy, worldly weary women, wimps,
    Petty infringers of the law,
    Persons With notifiable diseases,
    Tax collectors, Tarts;
    Birds with broken wings.

    I think you'll make it
    but public, prolonged, painful.

    Right, said the baby. That was roughly
    What I had in mind.

    Merry Xmas to all, and take care into the New Year ... greg

    My annual scientific inquiry into Santa Claus has begun.

    Myth ? or Faction ?

    No known species of reindeer can fly. But there are 300,000 species of living organisms yet to be classified, and while most of these are insects and germs, this does not completely rule out flying reindeer, which only Santa has ever seen.

    cool bananas ... greg

    THE EDWARD BULWAR LYTTON PRIZE

    The Edward Bulwar Lytton prize is awarded every year to the author of the worst possible opening line of a book. This has been so successful that Penguin now publishes five books-worth of entries. A recent winner:

    "Like an overripe beefsteak tomato rimmed with cottage cheese, the corpulent remains of Santa Claus lay dead on the hotel floor."

    Santa Claus is both myth & fiction, and yet neither, neti neti.
    No fictional character has ever been seen

    All fictional characters are 'ideas' _ known, by the only knowing there is,
    and that 'knowing' appears as an apparent unknown entity,
    an entity that can fly through walls and every apparent solid object

    In this case it turns out that ''Santa'' is the RealFictional character

    Merry Christmas Greg...(smiles)
