    The Suspensory Ouspensky-Einstein Enigma

The Honorable P.D. Ouspensky sets an example of being so near and yet so far...
“It is difficult to describe even approximately the significance which the discovery of the 4th perpendicular in our Universe would have for our knowledge. The conquest of the air. Hearing and seeing at a distance establishing connections with other planets (What about establishing connections on this planet?) or with other solar systems; all of this is nothing compared with the discovery of a new dimension.”

(What about the 4th dimension of space-time-gravity, the 5th of electricity, the 6th of magnetism? How much less are all of those projected ‘nothings’, compared with this ensemble of newly discovered physical dimensions? Re:http://forums.delphiforums.com/EinsteinGroupie )

    Ouspensky continues assiduously:

“But so far it ('the discovery of a new dimension') has not been made ."

    What We Must Do, continued:
“We must recognize that we are helpless before the riddle of the 4th dimension, and we must try to examine the problem within the limits accessible to us.”
    - P.D. Ouspensky, Chapter: THE 4TH DIMENSION, in the title: A NEW MODEL OF THE UNIVERSE. p. 68
(George Berkeley, 1710) ... lay the beginning in a distinct explication of what is meant by thing, reality, existence: for in vain shall we dispute concerning the real existence of things, or pretend to any knowledge thereof, so long as we have not fixed the meaning of those words.

"All things come out of the one and the one out of all things." - Heraclitus
"Reality is an illusion - albeit a persistent one." - Einstein
"Particles give me a headache." - Ibid

You are a hard working man RP,and many thanks for this input,If I were not so humble
I would be proud of you?

Dimensions arise time and again in your missives to us,like the waves on the ocean
swell, what then my friend of the dimension of MIND? You make little mention of this
one! Why then says he "wistfully" is this!

Surely the greatest enigma of them all is the dimension of mind and consciousness??

    regards michael.
    Humilty,coupled with boldness,surprises truth to
    reveal herself?
