    Re: 4D Desargues’ theorem?

    Dave, does not a different direction of motion influence the duration of time over the same distance? If the answer is yes, then one may relate spatial distance to time. In terms of our frame of reference, a mile through space is a mile through space, whether through a dense gravity field or a weak one. You were a little rough on theunify, given that the interpretration of his words could be better served with a more liberal appreciation of their inference.

    Theunify;
    If you are saying that it is the measurement device (clock) that is demonstrating variance, I must agree.

    You seem to have gotten a good deal on a couple of those books! Here is another web site I like for science papers and references: http://arxiv.org/

    I often become annoyed when people debate the trivial anomalies that occur within the mathematics; I view this as being the failure to recognize realistic limits. This sells books, but it tends to ignore the real functionality value of the equations and their physical limits.

    baud;
    The key to your statement is “In terms of our frame of reference”. If we were to view the physical measuring device or method from a universal reference frame, the measure of the mile would appear to be shorter relative to the spatial density or gravity. What I find unusual is that the interpretation of the effect of a black hole is just the opposite.
