If you are referring to a splitting of reality into infinite and equal possibilities due to the indeterminism of quantum mechanics, then you are visualizing QM wrong.
The way I see it is that only one local reality has real existence. The propabilty function is a wave of fundamental entity (matter or energy) if viewed in isolation (see quantum experiments). Since the wave is always subject to interaction with other waves, it decoheres into the peak of defined existence. Evolution then determines the stability of these systems, and their ability to pass on enough information to construct complex systems that observe itself.
There is no maze of propabilites, only one real outcome subject to competition for stability "Any society that would give up a little liberty to gain a little security will deserve neither and lose both"
