Someone said in a post a while ago (I'm sorry but I can't remember who) that life was the product of matter trying to fight gravity. I think that was what it said... I'm having trouble locating the post. Can anyone help me out with this?
Anyways, going along those lines, I came up with a sort of incomplete theory. The theory is broken into two statements -
1) The universe will always increase in entropy
and
2) The universe will always TRY TO NOT increase in entropy
Those two statements contradict themselves, but I think it's that contradiction that gives way to everything in the universe. In fact, the second statement exploits the fact that everything increases in entropy. A simple example would be life being born from the energy of the sun. This theory may not be new, or might be border line science fiction. I'd like to hear your thoughts and suggestions.
