I think we all need to go to the chat room and talk.
To put your document on the web it must be totally converted to html if you are going to show the document for free.
If you plan to sell the document on line you must set up an intro to your document that gives a look enough so people will want to see more. Then sell the document by request from email and ship a CD.
I do not think that a download of the document is a good idea. This results in moving much data. The more data that you move on the web the more it costs you for your site.
I could give you a place to begin until it begins to cost me money that I do not have. I can give you some of my time. I can make some videos that will help to teach you how to do some of this by your self.
My site only cost me $120. per year or $10 per month.
For this I have 50mb of space on the server. I also have 5GB per month of data through put. I have about 25% of this that I am not using yet. your document file on my site caused a spike of 58mb in 1 day this is 10.6% of my data for the month. I have no idea how that occurred. I will ask the provider to investigate this data spike. That represents moving your file 10 times.
I could make the videos that will teach you how to use HoTMetaL cute-FTP and the control panel at the resellers web site. This is all the information that you need to run your own web site and you could run some for others as I am doing for you. I do suggest that you sell your document on a CD and take orders in email.
I would not even think about giving a document of that size away on the web. If it was converted to html it would be broken up into very small pieces so that when somebody clicks on the link they do not get the entire document. I have 1000's of pages on line but they are all html except for my original document. This is just text. But it is still my biggest cost in data through put. I sent that file for free to 16 countries this month. But I am also considering to convert this also to html. The search engines move and store html so when people ask for it comes from the search engine storage. (90% of my outgoing data is to SE-crawlers. that hold the data to give to the people on there site. The people that see it still see what they think is my site but it is data on a search engine. Only html is efficient on the web.
I will begin the conversion of your document to html. While I do this I will make video of the output of my computer and narrate the video to tell what I am doing. After I get part of it done I will then move it onto the web using Cute-FTP I can video and narrate this operation also. Then I will go to the control panel and access the control panel. I can video this also. There is no part that you will not see.
From that point you should be able to do whatever you want on line all you will need is the manuals for the software that you will use. Cute is so easy you will not need any help with that once you have seen it. Learning HTML is a process that improves with time. I have a html help tool that is used to learn html I will give you a copy of that also. That is an MS handout anyway. can be sent in email.
In time you will need to spend 20 for a domain for 2 years.

I think I saw a copy of HoTMetaL pro 5 or 6 on Ebay for 15 to 75. Cute-FTP is less than that 15 to 50

Note after you use the videos I would like them to be available for others to use as well. I do not want money for them but I also do not want anybody else to try and sell them. I want copies of them to be given away after.
