Far be it from me to steal you away from here, but, your presence would be a present at Tom's discussion site, too. If you can find the time, there are some really wise folks over there too. Talking here is good of course, the discussion platform is very snazzy here, very usable, and I haven't discovered all the bells and whistles yet. Either way, I am enjoying our communication, and this, you, could be what led me here as I found this site exactly like I found Tom's site in 2003 with rediscovering it in 2008. How long has ToeQuest existed, do you know?

Thanks Bette....I have already been over and examined Tom's discussion site...I have not yet registered as I would like to first finish Tom's lectures and see just how many insights pop up for me....

I am not sure of the time history of TOEQUEST...I have been here since last May I think it was, and I like the site, the discussions and the people...possibly a member of longer standing will pop in and enlightenen us both....

Hi Bette and other thread members.

My wife Donna and I formed MBT Events about a year ago and were responsible for getting Tom over to London, putting on the Lectures and filming them.

We now run a series of workshops with Tom because we believe that his work is of great importance and we want to make it available to all those it would benefit.

The schedule for the rest of 2009 and 2010 is as follows:

Thank you for posting this here, and I look forward to meeting you all in California. I've not found any question Tom's TOE has yet to provide answers, explain, or in other ways make clear. His is the biggest TOE as of yet.

What will be the consequence to the world at large when they learn the Theory of Everything?

This is a good question SB_UK, and one I have been pondering in the form of, "What good is "My Big TOE?" Such a good question as yours deserves a quality answer. Here is my version, or interpretation of Tom's TOE while trying to answer your question. Remember this is Tom's TOE, it needs to be incorporated with your own knowledge base which is based on your own experiences which have built up meanings in your mind for anything I present here. In other words this is my answer, not Tom's, and your interpretation of it will follow.
Okay, your question:

What will be the consequence to the world at large when they learn the Theory of Everything?

We are consciousness; consciousness is a nonphysical digital information system, the fundamental reality frame. We create our own reality, this physical material reality, from consciousness space as a stream of consciousness/information. Once "they" which means you SB_UK, me, or anyone, each individuated unit of consciousness (IUOC) that each of us having this physical human experience is, would have to be able to grasp My Big TOE (MBT) and organize the information into their own knowledge base the change is internal. The consequences start in each IUOC if or as they have built up their own knowledge base to organize, first to let in, but then to organize this new information with their current understanding of how things work. Once everyone is able to grasp how the physical is a subset of a much larger system, every IUOC is existence having a life experience in this particular physical material reality all able to organize this reality by there own experience meditating and becoming aware, then the world at large would be seen as the small sub-set it is. I would imagine then this particular learning lab would have run it's course of being useful to the evolution of the quality of consciousness that it allows. These are my understandings of what probably would be the consequence of everyone getting it.

Tom's answer may very. He will become aware of this thread eventually, so may interject the MBT answer then.

The mechanism for education is all important.

Unfortunately religion fell into the trap of priest-individual hierarchy -
'forgive me father (not used metaphorically instead aimed at human priest) for I have sinned'
much like justice administered by lawyer (barely human being)
and not morality -

The average individual was kept in his place
- repressed and not set free through Institutional enforcement of hierarchy (animal instinct gives rise to this drive)
- allusion to knowledge locked within the minds of only the elite.

At some point soon we'll see a switch from repressive to empowering teaching methodologies.
This is seen in the evolution of teaching practices from
didactic -> constructivist eg link here (just #5 google s/t {didacticism,constructionism}).

Harness the 'selfish' drivers of youth towards
(inadvertently to the individual)
- making the individual better -
at mental maturity and we're there.

Kiddy #1 (age 5 yrs) wants to acquire (stickers,toys,games)
- make it knowledge presented by stimulating medium and then wait.
If it isn't structured knowledge which kids acquire -
then proper adulthood (proper maturity)
will never be reached

- destined to 're-birth as animal' {the Hindu and Buddhist metaphors} -
('continuation as animals' is perhaps a better mechanism of describing it
or
maybe - 'failure to be re-born')

(at least to halt the terrible confusion which mental re-birth has been plagued by cf. physical death)

adulthood spent acquiring useless trinkets -
cars, property, money

- ToE (a simple model which scales to give us a model for internal and external reality) is our everything
- our sole route to happiness.

All important to somehow rediscover the nature of education -
where education (of our own minds)
is the task which we have been set -
at least over the last 30,000 years
since -
speciation of mind.

My sole point, I guess (here)
is that in matters of ToE -
one may find the technique of speaking at of limited utility -
a better mechanism (I suspect) -

would be to suggest to people who wish to be happy -
to imagine answers to the slightly tougher questions which we set ourselves -
what is love?
(for instance)
- and to have a series of instructors available who're sufficiently versed in reality to deflect individual (innate) desire to know (understand the world around us) in the 'right direction'.

For instance
WHAT IS LOVE?
it's nice
DO YOU LOVE YOUR DOG, MOTHER,WIFE OR DAUGHTER?
uhuhuhhh - guess so
DO YOU LOVE 'EM ALL THE SAME WAY?

maybe they're 4 different though related forces maybe, dunno'

Thank you SB_UK. Love is the opposite of fear, and is what consciousness is evolving towards. Religion, patriarchal hierarchical indoctrinated belief system based on instilling fear of death, and demanding blind faith, is the control mechanism of society asleep, I concur. It is time to wake up.
