Hi Pat, Zelta and all,
Words can have different meanings to different people. I think what you would call "sciences" I would call "natural sciences"; but the word "science" in a wider context, would include any body of knowledge or study. Theological sciences could come under religion, the study of God including divine revelation. While the natural science would use observation, logic and mathematic as its basic means of inquiring natural sciences, philosophy would basically use observation and logic to investigate its aspect of reality. Theology or religion would use observation, logic and revelation as its method of attaining spiritual knowledge. Religion also includes faith which is not against reason, but it is a means of knowing supernatural reality, which can not be naturally known like the existence of the Blessed Trinity, one God consisting of three divine persons, Father , Son and Holy Spirit. This doctrine of the Blessed Trinity is not against reason, but it could not have been known except by revelation from God.
Yours Cosvis.
