    Re: A Little Tiny Point - Stephen Hawking's Universe

    Hi Cosvis;

    I like the way you projected the further evolution of man in a self awareness of being human and our harmony with ourselves, others and our environment.

    You may be right, and if left alone could indeed achieve that.

    I don't know if it's possible for humans to leave the situation in the hands of natural selection and random mutation. Rather, man will get involved in those two sacred areas better left with Nature or God.

    You'll have the Nazi's messing with natural selection and others. You'll find currently geneticists tinkering with controlled mutations, trying to make a better human being.

    You'll have a bioengineered man complete with a symbionic computer transplant connected to a master computer.

    I'm afraid we'll achieve harmony and similarities at the expense of our humanity.

    But this also will pass, and perhaps just perhaps, we'll find ourselves back in the garden.

    Best,

    Pat

    Even better, a future single unified universal mind will evolve. We have all been looking in the wrong direction: the Great System of Mind is to be found in the future, not in the past.

    However, in the topology of a Moebius/Klein bottled universe past or future is not distinguishable.

    Maybe our brains will evolve into a Moebius/Klein bottle where we just have HERE and NOW and ALL is ONE.

    Then here there and everywhere or past future and everywhen is equivalent to living forever as a exact balance of 8 directional invariance.

    Neither “nothing” nor “infinity” can be,
    As “nothing” is not there and so “it” cannot be,
    And “infinity” can never be reached,
    Being a hopeless sequence never completed.

    Something then, had to be, but not forever so;
    Thus, there was was creation of things that grow,
    Via the “something” of no laws, form, time or fee—
    That which needs nothing before it: Possibility.

    Hi Pat and all,

    I think that once the intelligent animal, or "homo sapiens", occupied planet earth, the evolutionary process of the universe advanced not so much by natural random selections, however, which still could be active, but rather by intelligent design of "homo sapiens". It is humankind itself that has an impact on the universal evolutionary process. We have a great responsibility to apply and use our new intelligent gifts, talents and abilities in such a way that it will truly bring progress, advancement, peace and harmony to all.

    Yours Cosvis.

    True enough and we have a balance of positive and negative charges in our universe, self created I believe. However we do have problems with CPT symmetry at the beginning which could be accounted for with a parallel or cyclic universe.

    Best,
