Hope everyone is enjoying the holidays and upcoming new year. I continue to add new and cool stuff to the website. Here's what I did.
  1. Added a new poll titled, What happens after you die?.
  2. Added dropdown menu options to the Calendar link on the upper navigation bar. Calendars available are ToeQuest Events, Philosophy-Themed Weeks, and Birthdays.
  3. Designed better link bullet graphics for the categories, popular articles and popular author lists in the Research Library.
  4. Added a view count to the articles in the Research Library.
  5. Added a second countdown timer ability on the home page so a countdown to two events can be shown when needed.
  6. Worked with Guillermo to help setup the first philosophy-themed chat session. More of these to come.
  7. In an effort to bring more talent to the website I've started contacting, or attempting to contact, well-known or up-and-coming authors and researchers in physics, philosophy, etc. Reached out to the following persons this week:
  8. Improved the graphics on the ToeQuest Header. Hope you like it.
  9. Removed the Forum and Home links from the upper navigation bar since they where redundant with header menu.
  10. Fixed some spacing problems in the double navbar area when viewed with IE.
  11. Added a new stock photo to the Research Library. The colors integrated better with the opening webpage and also provides an appropriate ambiance of study and research.
  12. Removed some obsolete code from the website and added better redirection when this code is accessed. These are preparations for an eventual web hosting service change.
  13. Some Search Engine Optimization work this week.
  14. I completed the move of the old library articles over to the new one, and I removed the old library and associated database.
Next week I'll be making preparations for the vBulletin 3.5 major upgrade, start some new forums, and announce the next chat session and thread of assimilation. Plus any other impulse that comes to mind.

I think the library changes are very important. Daniel Dennett is a great philosopher specialised in the philosophy of mind. I haven't read any of his books, but I intend to do so.

any comment on fusion? - 12-28-2005, 12:27 PM

Just wondering if Dr. Randall has any comments about the feasibility of a controlled thermonuclear fusion? Is fusion related to the hidden dimensionality of the universe?

Time independence: [∂E(g)]²=[∂F(a)×∂r(a)]·[∂F(b)×∂r(b)] and Mass independence: a(tr(t)=c²

Antonio, have you ever visited physicsjokes.com. There's a cute little saying about the universe: A day without fusion is like a day without sunshine.

There's also 13 pages on the buttered bread and cat problem. You will just have to read it for yourself. It is so funny.

hahahahhahahahaha.....lol

It's a great website. We should have link somewhere, suh a reference is neccesary to the search for GUTOE.... Loughter is always a relationship, and toequest is about a relationship of quest. I wonder if there is a web as good but to philosophy? I'll search.

Maybe this is the reason why a Tokamak is shaped like an orange except that it is hollow if the plasma is not fusing.

metaphysics and reality - 01-04-2006, 05:52 PM

I love smart people and I want no more than to direct them away from the incongruencies of metaphysics and toward a practical direction of physical theory. We would all stand to gain so much. What we must do is work with what we have and what is real. I personally think that multi-universes, ie. other dimensions, occupy the realm of metaphysics, ie. merely interesting mathematical diversion. Logical discourse concerning the subject of the one Universe as opposed to multiple universes existing simultaneously must needs be based on practical education whose postulations are based on empiricism, ie. what we have learned and know from what we have seen, and taken from there. In other words, this three dimensional Universe is indeed the only universe in existence for no other reason than that those most fundamental of strings resonate in concordance with the fundamental and sub-harmonics that comprise it to produce only what it is. It resonates as a composite wave to produce reality, the only reality. We are - this is - the expression of creation, not metaphysically speaking at all but very real and existing, which any other possible universe that mathemantics proposes does not. Please, Ms. Randall, mathematics is not the holy grail. Practical science is. Don't waste your time. The Universe is anthropocentric in nature and there is only one logical reason why this is so. All the mathematics in the world can't change that.

I believe harmonygirl and Michelle second that nomination. I have to get her Ok, but we're a team when it comes to Baudrunner.
