I have a concept in my mind that for me is central to how things ARE. But I cannot find a satisfactory and distinct name to call it. So perhaps if I explain it, a word may already exist, or a new one can be coined.
The possible contenders so far are:
Juxtaposition, Bezier flow, Synaptic congruent flow, bezier flowing surface
I want something snappy and street wise ideally. A skimming stone, a rubber glove, the surface between oil and water as you stir it...
And here is the basic model. Imagine two entirely separate and unconnected processes or things. In mathematics these are vectors. A vector is basically a point in space with force or motion that graphically is a straight arrow of some particular length. And in computer graphics, two entirely separate vectors generally define a single flowing curved path between them, and this is called a Bezier curve. Paul Bezier was a Swiss mathematician.
In the human brain there are separate synaptic gaps in the neural network. They do not touch, but electrochemical glue - i believe it is called dopamine, in patterns and flows form the magical process of thinking, imagination, perception memory, and so on. But each neurone is in splendid isolation, alone as it were and the magic of thought is a third and different thing.
Juxtaposition is a term from literature applied by Ra Guru PooPoo who created the Human Design System. It is about the curation of museums, and the connection that arises when any two unconnected things are placed next to each other. Some connection is immediately there. The example Ra gives (in "Neutrino Biverse") is of a poetry anthology in alphabetical order, where two poems from different periods and styles and authors are on facing pages by the random juxtaposition of alphabetical order. In that juxtaposition, immediately differences and similarities are obvious they are just there, and this is in a way magic, and in another way it is the fabric of how the mind works. The mind works by comparison.
So three different versions of something and I see a STRUCTURAL similarity and I want a word for this underlying concept.
I used Juxtaposition for a while. Ra has copyright perhaps on his Juxtaposition Unified Theory (a theory of cosmological origins and atomic physics that is not refined to normal academic standards, but possibly has potential). So I decided the simpler Juxtaposition Theory as a work in process.
Then I realised the Bezier curve had so much more potential than the sine waves and Fourrier analysis for describing the curving analogue world within fractal and recursive models.
However Bezier exists on graph paper and x,y,z co-ordinates. What I plan is to reverse this so that the bezier forms are the fabric and the x,y,z the twisted and unnatural compromise that we can now discard and think freely.
But Bezier remains about lines. I want surfaces and more defined in this strange way. I can see immense potential in realising for example that the surface that I experience as physical reality - what I see, touch, and hear, is a bezier surface in sights, in sounds, and in sensations, and so on. my experience of sight is a complex surface, with two eyes my mind CREATES depth, and beyond that my cognition tells me there is visual reality behind my head and that the mirror is not truth. But there is something about reality that I think involves exactly this same bezier process as a complex surface or set of surfaces in personal experience.
Gravity is a sensation - for me it is down, and yet as I sleep and awake, my sensation of gravity is not the downward contact that is always there, but a sideways or from the back sensation of surface. The physical contact of gravity in my mind is a bezier surface, that constantly encourages me to adapt my visual ideas of reality to conform and agree, and the result is "reality" personally experienced.
The idea that God or some external being could in any way experience these flowing and interacting bezier surfaces is laughable. Reality is therefore merely my experiences and yours and so on. It is the surfaces where consciousness encounters material forms. And those surfaces have a particularity that is not merely flowing geometry, it has a quality of magical and compelling "reality".
My thinking is held back without a suitably rich and obvious and accurate terminology for thes flowing bezier surfaces, and the idea of how two separated in unmixable things - any two separated things defined a certain way and yet never in any contact, would inevitably create something verymuch like "reality" merely by the ....
by the ...
Well it is just like the Bezier curve and the juxtaposition of items in a museum by the curator's decision to influence YOUR experience.
Experience IS reality. Who you are is WHERE you are. These ideas are all somehow connected and I can grasp it but seek terminology to map all this clearly and communicate it simply and effectively.
Any ideas?
Bezier surface is just too abstract, there must be something that will get through to ordinary people... And it has to flow and express the dynamic movement in chaos and time...
