well, its not personal so much as borrowed from as much stuff as I can get my mind around. but here goes:
I like the idea that we are emantions of a higher mind coming thru succesive layers of our reality: light/energy/matter/organisms/ etc. with consciousness being the ground from which this emerges. This consciousness/ground of being does not have intelligence or direction per se,. we wake up in this life forgetting that we are always in touch with this emptiness/consciousness and mistake the forest for the trees.
buddhism and physics do in fact share some similar "descriptions" of reality. of course discussions like this are always accused of being pseudo-science, which I agree with on a strictly mathematical level, but of course that is ignoring the subjective/mental realm level entirely. It seems efforts to tie these thoughts together are often ignored, but that is more the fault of the scientific paradigm imo.
anyhow, buddhists talk of emptiness creating form and along that line of thinking I had a thought, not that I know what I am talking about, but it could make sense when viewed like so:
matter has more space (emptiness) than actual hard/solid matter, the emptiness itself is everywhere and forms borders around all matter. emptiness is actually more whole or connected to itself than matter is.
so matter is the actual "illusion", and emptiness the true "root" or manipulator of form, with consciousness being the method/intersection in which emptiness experiences itself in all its forms. we are the higher mind seeing/experiencing emantions of ourselves.![]()
we think we're watching tv, but in fact we are looking in the mirror, and the "we" watching is in fact emptiness, playing a game of cat and mouse.
purely speculation on my part, feel free to improve upon that idea or destroy it with some math equation.![]()
