Fredrick;
Just scroll the page up and down with your mouse wheel and you’ll get the illusion of rotating movement without the need to stare at the center.

Re: An Idea

WHEN IS PRIMARY SECONDARY AND SECONDARY PRIMARY?

Subtractive Color – Print

Subtractive color is produced through a printing process
New shades are created by combining different quantities of the primary colors
When you combine all of the primary colors together you get black.
The primary colors of print are cyan, yellow and magenta

Additive Color – Screen

Additive color is what we see on our screens - computer monitors, film and television screens
New shades are created by combining different quantities of the primary colors
When you combine all of the primary colors together you get white.
The primary colors of the screen are red, green and blue.

THE WONDERFUL WORLD OF ( COLOR ) OPPOSITES. ADDITIVE AND SUBTRACTIVE.

Re: An Idea

Hi Profpat;
If you obtained these from a book, that book is technically wrong. Only the red, green, and blue are considered primary colors. Each of the colors in the subtractive system are made up of two of those primary colors; it is called the subtractive system due to the fact they are minus one of the primaries. Yellow = -blue; cyan = -red; magenta = -green. Of course if you’re an artist, you have seven primary colors; most artists don’t make very good scientist though.

Re: An Idea

Thank you David I thought that was the case. I was a bit confused when they listed the secondary as primary. I'm glad I posted it, to get the correct information. ( It was from an internet site )

Again Thanks,

Pat

Re: An Idea

I had a little difficulty reading the formulas Greg, but I believe they are right, except:
White = +red, +blue, +green.

Best,

Pat

P.S. Yellow is -blue

Yes ... its that bloody new software of Roberts. It resizes the images. You now need to click on them.

So just click the image and you will see it full-size.

Thanks for the tip Greg. On the large screen the formulas look A-OK.

Re: An Idea

I found this on the internet which I found to be interesting:

This is a simulation of about two thousands of tiny inertial points, which are behaving like the tiny strings: they can repulse and attract at the same moment.

I never considered attractive and repulsive at the same moment.

Best,

Pat

Re: An Idea

These points in the excellent animation above are essentially the 'pluses' and 'minuses' of no-thing differentiating themselves and often staying apart to make new forms, as there are no constraints to preserve the Stillness.
