I believe "civilization and it's discontents" started ~4,000 BC, or 6,000years ago. Thats when writing was invented and the wheel and when history and commerce started.
[quote=neutralino;41523]That's html code, Tina, which doesn't work here. You mean this (click the banner for the link):
Great Neutralino and Tina;
I've been busted. Yes I got my Idea from a little vistor from the Star System of Pleiades, and now he's afraid and going to return home. He's using my cell phone now. He doesn't want to wind up dissected on a table like his friends at Area 51. So I hope you're happy.
"When Julian Jaynes . . .speculates that until late in the second millenium B.C. men had no consciousness but were automatically obeying the voices of the gods, we are astounded but compelled to follow this remarkable thesis through all the corroborative evidence . . ." John Updike, in The New Yorker
Having just finished The Origin of Consciousness, I myself feel something like Keats' Cortez staring out at the Pacific. or at least like the early reviewers of Darwin or Freud. I'm not quite sure what to make this new territory; but its expanse lies before me and I am startled by its power." Edward Profitt, in Commonweal
I will attempt to find the answer to this in the book Prof.
I read it randomly and consider it a referential tool.
He is speaking of two dis-similar consciousness's, one progressing out of the other though it appears we could be (or did) digress from a certain higher point ( The garden of eden metaphor?)or degree in antiquity, with the formation of the I and Me concept in relative consciousness.

You could well be correct Professor.
One understanding has the chronology of "Messengers" as;
Abraham, Moses, Jesus, Buddha, Krishna, Zoroaster, Mohhamed, The Bab, and Bahaullah.
as of the late 19th century.
Many are unmentioned, and there have been and still are many who are Self-Realized.

Maybe that has something to do with Julian Jaynes theory?

Wish your little ex-friend a safe and happy journey from me
What I meant was that the time taken for Homo Sapiens to evolve from apes have been relatively fast considering the pace of evolution prior to it. There is no compelling reason for this fast paced evolution. So my question is that is there a gene that was triggered at some point of time??

Many in the west have learned to connect to the fount or the current of ambrosia as it is known.
There is a unity which encompasses diversity.
"It is the 'golden bowl' in the Bible.
It is the microcosmic 'web of life' for it underlies every part of the physical structure.
It has three purposes:
To carry throughout the body the life principle, the energy which produces activity.
To enable the soul, or human yet spiritual man to be en rapport weth his environment, this is the seat of conscious receptivity.
To produce eventually, through life ans consciousness, a radiant activity, or manifestation of glory which wil make each human being a centre of activityfor the distribution of light and attractive energy to others in the human kingdom.
This microcosmic symbol of the soul not only underlies the entire physical structure and thus is a symbol of the anima mundi, or the world soul, but is indivisable, coherent and a unified entity, thereby symbolising the unity and homogeneity of God(aka the Absolute).
There are no seperate organisms in it, bu it is simply a body of freely flowing force, that force being a blend or unification of two types of energy in varying quantities, dynamic energy, and attractive or magnetic energy. These two types characterise the universal soul likewise---the force of will and of love, or of atma and buddhi, and it is the play of these two forces on matter that attracts to the etheric body of all forms the needed physical atoms and that--having so attracted them---by the will force drives them into certain activities.
Hello everyone: I see your thread got hijacked Pat. It looks like it was for a good cause though. Always a good thing when people finally start looking at all those coincidences that have been staring in our face for as long as we have lived here. I do not think we can say we were any less aware then, then we are now. It was just not the right time. Before we can begin to prepare for our next schooling adventure we must get as many people ready to accept what they are and have been before they are ready to face the angels. “Lost in space” I have know for a long time that I am lost in space both literally and figuratively.
By the way, all those important religious figures. My bet is they were clones of the star travelers. Clones just in case the mindless mob gets carried away and kills somebody. Teaching the uncivilized can be dangerous you know. They might even crucify somebody.
This coming Easter week may be a repeat of the year that Christ met John. The Equinox and the Passover are back to back. A time for the Jews to get to know the Pagans They will all be in town to celebrate at the same time.
John.
