Directed Panspermia does sound an interesting concept. It does sometimes look a little strange that mankind has progressed so far as compared to other species.

Hi Drifter;
I looked up Julian James book at google books:
and then searched for;
The Origin of Consciousness in the Breakdown of the Bicameral Mind. ( You have to type the entire title in your search ).
There is the index, the chapters, readings from the chapters, etc. It does look like an interesting book, thanks for the tip.
Best to you,
Pat
Hello friends:
The reason that mankind moved so quickly during the past 100 years is because of passing 2 major barriers to progress. One is global communication with the radio and telegraph this broke down all the pre existing barriers to the intercommunication between all men. The other is the prime mover that let the power of combustion move the materials needed as opposed to the power of animals only. These 2 discoveries created a downhill to progress. We had one more device that changed the slope toward progress.
The Computer this led to the internet and the ability to translate all of the languages of man. Resulting in the removal of whatever barriers remain between men. We have one more yet to come. That will expand what we do exponentially. That is the machine that builds and maintains itself. This takes the biological machine out of the process completely. Then progress can for all practical purposes approach the speed of light. It all has nothing to do with intelligence. It has to do with the lay of the land. We have created a machine that is moving much to fast for our ability to control it. It looks very much like the end of our control is at hand.
We need drastic measures to save ourselves from our own antisocial machine (capitalism)
We do not need to end it. We can not do this as it is needed as part of our global government.
We simply must allow social control of the social functions.
This are social functions. Capitalism has no business in control of these. These belong to all peoples not just for the rich.
(Political Judicial Education Medical Communication)
We are presently headed toward global Fascism. (Corporate control of our world)
We only think we are in control.

I do not disagree with what I do not understand. I strive to understand so that I do not find myself disagreeing with the WYSIWYG of the environment that I live within.
Only in a democratic society with supposed "equal rights".
can disidents be labeled heritics or anarchist or subversives, and once "labeled "perps" you are treated worse than a rabid dog. So, in most cases, just by speaking up you draw unwanted attention to your self.
Like Don King said, "Only in America". Do the rich walk away free from their crimes.
And history is written by the "victors".
To everyone;
I'll be discussing the metaphysical part of my Idea, shortly, but before that discussion I located an interesting internet regarding the I Ching and the something to nothing concept:
What is there before the outset? And how does something come from nothing? Those are the deep philosophical questions posed by the diagram on the left.
The initial emptiness, the empty circle, is called Wuji in Chinese (the characters on the right). In this context it is translated as "without polarity". Strictly, there is nothing, not even the boundary of the circle, but in making it the object of discussion we symbolize it. Of course we should not, because "nothing" isn't, because the name that can be named is not the true name. But we need it as a point of contrast with what is.
And that is the primary axis; being and nothingness, to borrow Sartre's term. In the Chinese cosmology, progressing to the middle symbol, this is the arising of Taiji (characters on the right). This term means "great polarity" and is a reference to the basic division of phenomena into Yin and Yang. At the most fundamental level Yang is what is, present energy; and Yin is what is not, receptive context. In Taiji these two aspects are still so tightly bound that there is nothing between them, only centred rotation.
The site that this is located at and further discussion on this topic is located at:

Best,

"Yin and Yang then, are relative terms, not absolutes. Nothing is Yang in and of itself, it can only be seen as Yang in contrast with some other state, which is Yin."
This was found at the site you posted, Pat, and it seems to indirectly-imply that the wuji state would be the absolute state; and that neither being nor nothingness, in and of their respective states, do not exist outside of perhaps a binary-type functioning.
Would you propose that the wuji state was a one time state, or continual as a creation factor for taiji to manifest?
I’ll now discuss the metaphysical aspects of my Idea using the I Ching trigrams as a integral part.
The I Ching trigrams are divided into four major areas:
THE FAMILY-THE IMAGE-THE NAME-THE ATTRIBUTE:
I’ll start with the family and then address the other areas in separate posts.
THE FAMILY:
The I Ching trigrams represents the family, from Father, Mother, Three Sons, and Three Daughters,
The family was essential to the evolutionary process.
“ It is not good for man to be alone “ and so GOD created Eve, and Adam and Eve had two sons.
The family, expanded into groups and/or tribes. This family is represented in the I Ching trigrams and is part of the eight internal dimensions of my Idea of the Proton/Neutron, thus helping to explain why the sense of family is inherent in all of us.
THE IMAGE:
The I Ching image represents the five classical elements, plus three. The five classical elements are Earth, Water, Fire, Air, and Ether, which I believe represents the five states of matter, namely. Solid, Liquid, Plasma, Gas, and Ether.
The I Ching also have these states mentioned as; Earth, Water, Fire, Wind ( air ), and Heaven ( ether ).
The additional three mentioned in the I Ching are Mountain, Thunder, and Lake.
These states of matter are necessary for the universe that we live in. Again these states are part of the eight internal areas of my Idea of the Proton/Neutron. Remember the I Ching represents change as the states of matter can change it states.
THE NAME:
The names I believe represents the emotions and personality.
This would be Arousing, Abysmal, and Joyous, which are emotions.
The personality would be Keeping Still, Clinging, and Gentle.
The emotions and personality are the children ( 3 sons and 3 daughters )
The parents are Creative ( the father ) and the Receptive ( the mother ).
Again the dynamics of the I Ching is change.
I think this helps explain why man has changing emotions and our personality, as these are also represented in the eight internal dimensions of my Idea of the Proton/Neutron.
THE ATTRIBUTE:
This I think represents procreation. Most necessary for the survival of our species.
Here we have the Mother who is yielding and the Father who is strong.
The Daughters are Joyous, Penetrating, Movement.
The Sons Movement, Dangerous, and Resting.
The Yin/Yang has the female principle( Yin ) as Yielding and Passive. The male principle ( Yang ) is Firm and Active. Both of which are necessary for intercourse and procreation.
