"Yin and Yang then, are relative terms, not absolutes. Nothing is Yang in and of itself, it can only be seen as Yang in contrast with some other state, which is Yin."
This was found at the site you posted, Pat, and it seems to indirectly-imply that the wuji state would be the absolute state; and that neither being nor nothingness, in and of their respective states, do not exist outside of perhaps a binary-type functioning.
Would you propose that the wuji state was a one time state, or continual as a creation factor for taiji to manifest?

I’ll now discuss the metaphysical aspects of my Idea using the I Ching trigrams as a integral part. The I Ching trigrams are divided into four major areas: THE FAMILY-THE IMAGE-THE NAME-THE ATTRIBUTE: I’ll start with the family and then address the other areas in separate posts. THE FAMILY: The I Ching trigrams represents the family, from Father, Mother, Three Sons, and Three Daughters, The family was essential to the evolutionary process. “ It is not good for man to be alone “ and so GOD created Eve, and Adam and Eve had two sons. The family, expanded into groups and/or tribes. This family is represented in the I Ching trigrams and is part of the eight internal dimensions of my Idea of the Proton/Neutron, thus helping to explain why the sense of family is inherent in all of us.

THE IMAGE: The I Ching image represents the five classical elements, plus three. The five classical elements are Earth, Water, Fire, Air, and Ether, which I believe represents the five states of matter, namely. Solid, Liquid, Plasma, Gas, and Ether. The I Ching also have these states mentioned as; Earth, Water, Fire, Wind ( air ), and Heaven ( ether ). The additional three mentioned in the I Ching are Mountain, Thunder, and Lake. These states of matter are necessary for the universe that we live in. Again these states are part of the eight internal areas of my Idea of the Proton/Neutron. Remember the I Ching represents change as the states of matter can change it states.

THE NAME: The names I believe represents the emotions and personality. This would be Arousing, Abysmal, and Joyous, which are emotions. The personality would be Keeping Still, Clinging, and Gentle. The emotions and personality are the children ( 3 sons and 3 daughters ) The parents are Creative ( the father ) and the Receptive ( the mother ). Again the dynamics of the I Ching is change. I think this helps explain why man has changing emotions and our personality, as these are also represented in the eight internal dimensions of my Idea of the Proton/Neutron.

THE ATTRIBUTE: This I think represents procreation. Most necessary for the survival of our species. Here we have the Mother who is yielding and the Father who is strong. The Daughters are Joyous, Penetrating, Movement. The Sons Movement, Dangerous, and Resting. The Yin/Yang has the female principle( Yin ) as Yielding and Passive. The male principle ( Yang ) is Firm and Active. Both of which are necessary for intercourse and procreation.

= For mankind, = unites the things we choose. In nature, = unites all things. The difference between man and nature then, is only what we choose. The true differences in nature are none. "Man is the measure of all things." Yet man's measure has been found to have no certainty or truth. What if man removed measured uncertainty from his life, and made = his natural choice of truth? That would unite us with nature, and all would be truly one! = MJA The truth of everything is less than one inch, it is only equal and the lion is one. Would you propose that the wuji state was a one time state, or continual as a creation factor for taiji to manifest? | A very good question Nobody, and my answer is I'm not sure. You are right that the balance of complementary opposites ( Yin/Yang ), do come from the wuji state, and indeed may be the only absolute state and is still present in the Eternal Here and Now. Again I'm not sure. Best to you, Pat

The picture is not the Painter yet the Painter is in the picture, how could it not be so?
The creature is not the Creator yet the Creator is in the creature, how could it not be so?
The son is not the Father yet the Father is in the son, how could it not be so?
When the glass of air is shattered the innner and the outer again become One.
The binary action is a response within the Absolute, which contains all but is contained by none. How could it not be so? How the binary is interpreted is the faculty/funtion of the mind transmitting/transferring into thoughts, words, and images the perceptions and conceptions that arise from the sensations received via the conduit of its nerve ganglias receptors. The Creative Principle at work in man. [Like Father Like Son]

That would unite us with nature, and all would be truly one! = MJA | Joseph Chilton Pearce does a most excellent work with his insights into the true nature of mind and reality. He defines culture as a "cosmic egg" structured by the mind's drive for the logical ordering of its universe, i.e. the sum total of our notions of what the world is and what we perceive its full potential to be, form a shell of rational thought in which we reside. This " logical universe" creates a vicious circle of reasoning that robs our minds [like a thief in the night] of power and prevents us from reaching our true potential. To step beyond that circle requires a centering and focus that today's society assaults on every level. It is a masterful discovery and synthesis in physics, biology, and psychology that reveals the extraordinary relationship of mind and reality and nature's blueprint for self-transcending humanity. Through the insights of Teilhard, Tillich, Jung, Castaneda, and others, he shows how our imagination can escape the " logical universe", and leap into a new phase of human evolution. "The Crack in the Comic Egg", subtitled; New Constructs of Mind and Reality. I recommend it.
