Yes I do Dipayankar, it's called probability theory. Let's say we are flipping a coin; heads = matter and tails = antimatter. If we keep on flipping the coin, throughout eternity, heads would equal tails. But at the big bang there was a limit on the number of flips, and so at the end of the flips, heads was slightly ahead. 2000,000,001 heads for every 2,000,000,000 tails. Close, but enough of a difference to have our entire universe of heads left over. We could have just as easily been living in an antiuniverse. In fact maybe we are. It's only our deifinition which says this is matter and not antimatter.

Probability is an element of chance. My feeling is that the more we know about what happened prior to the Big Bang, the more we will unravel answers to these type of queries.

Have you missed an important point here?

If you accept the possibility of a parallel anti-matter universe then you don't need the (highly improbable) explanation involving mutual anihilation and chance.

Hi Felix;

I'm open to both possibilities. I'm also open to a cyclic universe vs an ever expanding universe. I'm also open to a created vs an eternal universe. My An Idea is independent from all the above.

But if you totally believe in an antimatter parallel universe, than why the 2 billion photons for every proton? I believe the photon is it's own antiphoton. Somewhat neutered after the anihilation of matter/antimatter collision.
