If we consider the implications of the fractal geometry found in nature, the laws would necessarily be required to hold at an infinite number of scales in the case of perfect replication, and an infinite amount of energy would be required to create an infinite number of universes.

The implications could also explain the cause for mutation and hence evolution in the case of imperfect replication, but the laws would have to vary I would think in order to produce the random shapes. And this would only apply to isolated finite systems, not to a scenario where an infinite number of universes exist within each other.

Which means they will have to interact with neutrinos...

Why finite number of Universes? Is Energy finite in the system? IS ENERGY BEING CREATED IN OTHER UNIVERSES with different physical laws???

I said isolated finite systems, Dip, not a finite number of universes. An observable universe, not an unobservable infinity, could then be conceived as originating in a big bang and evolving for a finite time.

As I understand it, all laws break down at the singularity of the finite system; whereas an infinite system wouldn't change at all - relative density wouldn't increase at all.

Would an infinite system still have a begining aka The Big Bang??

An eternal system could, but not an infinite one. The difference might be found here: http://www.scienceagogo.com/news/denying_time.shtml

Hi Dipayankar;

No I don't think they would. Quarks have mass, and therefore would cause gravity but neutrinos have no mass and so would not interact with quarks, or effect gravity.

Best,

Pat
