It requires a kind of faith
In what magic lies beneath it;
Really?

Science may change the fruit fly but I don't think they improved on nature's evolutionary path. — Profpat
Let's hope they don't try that, but I'll take forever-life if they come up with it.
The Brain in a Vat
Here I reside in a vat of molasses, king of the tub,
Getting tanked and enjoying the cistern,
For life is a barrel of fun that’s unlimited
By my cask; Here I drum in my basin
As a precious vessel, living way beyond
My receptacle, the container not containing me,
But serving as my holder and my reservoir.

Statistics is an aspect of mathematics, but it should be noted that over a long enough interval, the probability of all events tends towards 1.
The slice of life we see is just that, a slice.
An apple slice is not an apple tree, it isn't even a whole apple.
As for time being a process, do you mean the past and future don't exist outside of information we can project from the present?
Isn't that like saying neither the apple, nor the tree exist, because we're only looking at a single slice in our hand?

Stage Manager: No. *pauses* The physicists and mathematicians, maybe they do some.
But how can you show who is experiencing the correct present if we're all moving through time at slightly different rates?
Just because the future exists doesn't mean you have to eliminate free will, you simply need a better understanding of what free will is, and the manner in which we are aware of it.
If you look towards all your possible future actions, it is "around an impossible corner" from your current perspective.
If you look back at all your past actions, a clear pattern arises, showing that we do not actually choose to decide, rather that we decided to choose and became aware of it afterwards.
The action/reaction is an merely a shade of the summed spread of states, like the spot on a rainbow where blue meets green.
As for god, well, perhaps in your world, but I have no need or reason to presume the existence of a deity. Things make more sense without that postulate, I find.
