I think Wilhelm's translation and commentary is superb, but first I would recommend reading the Tao Te Ching. I've heard that the I Ching is the oldest written document and much wisdom can be extracted from both texts.

Actually Prof, I am having a grand day, although deciding matters of life and death among the seedlings is somewhat troubling to my mind. Rather I would, that I had the resources to allow them all the opportunity to grow.

Sadly, it is not so.

I think thusly about the state of affairs of the world as well.

I should just accept that things and people are as they are, and none of it in my power to change.

May whatever team you are cheering for accomplish that which you wish......for whatever difference it makes, as long as it gives you pleasure in the moment.
