But what if the battle chose you? One time I was letting this one girl use my car, she was a barmaid (German) and had a child. I really didn't want her to use the car, but she was a friend and so, what the heck. One day her boyfriend stopped with with one of his redneck friends and wanted me to gat out of the car and fight. He told me that he was going to kick my ass if I ever let Monica use my car again. And so I thought there was no way I was going to win this situation, since she wasn't a girlfriend, just a friend, and I really didn't want her to use my car anyways.
Even if I "won" the fight I'm sure both of us, maybe 3 of us, would be bloodied and the cops would probably come.
So I just said OK and drove off. Once at home I called Monica and told her what happened and that she couldn't use my car anymore. Boy I guess her boyfriend caught shit from her. And so while driving away I was completely successful.
Sometimes you fight, sometimes you walk, drive or run away. It all depends on the circumstances.
Another time at a party this drunk was really obnoxious and forcing this one girl physically to kiss him. I told him to knock it off, and he stated "Oh I think I can beat you" knowing I had a bad heart. So when he charged me I hit him once in the head and fractured his skull. He went instantly down and that was the end of the encounter. Later he filed a complaint with the police and tried to sue me. The cops laughed when they heard my side of the story and investigated and no attorney would take his case on a contingent basis, so no law suit.
Sometimes you fight, some times you don't.
This is becoming BORING...
Epilogue: The girl moved in with me, later we went to Vegas, and later still she moved to NYC.
Coincidence: I found out later that she was the grand daughter of my brother's 1st employer. Small world.
