I am trying to use this sequence in a slightly different way. Profpat envisages this as a cube but I see it as an octahedron. Whilst the cube has eight segments, the octahedron has eight sides and each of the tangrams takes up a side. If you mark one out on a sheet of paper, then fold it you have an eight sided solid consisting of two pyramids.

The tangrams can then be marked on each of the sides. Mark any side with three +++ and the opposite side with three ---. You can then go round each of the sides, changing only one + or - across each edge. This represents a basic plan of the charge on each of the sides. To see what provides the charge, draw a line at right angles across each of the edges of the triangles which make up the octahedron. For the +++ side mark each line on that side as + and the opposite end as -. Repeat this process for the --- side (but the other way round). All of the ends of the lines can now be marked as + and -, each line having a + end and a - end. If you do it right, they will agree with the tangrams.

Why am I doing this? Well I'm trying to work out a three dimensional model of the eight electrons in stable configuration in the second shell of an atom. And I think this may solve it. Want to have a go at drawing it???

I hope Pat doesn't mind me posting yours in here, but here's the deal. I made the shape but I'll need your input for the rest. I labeled each side with a letter, so tell me what symbol you want on each side, and what color(if it matters). I was also thinking about putting just 4 colors on the visible sides and then making them transparent so you can see the rest of the sides a little more clear.

Oh and on the main topic Pat I find that searching for numbers in nature can sometimes lead to overlooking the real reasons. I don't deny that numbers show themselves in nature in very odd ways, but you can find almost every number in nature!

I say this because I've talked to a few people who trade currency - futures -stocks based off of something called Elliot Waves and the Fibonacci sequence. Now I absolutely love Fibonacci and it can be absolutely amazing, but sometimes it is taken too far.

Now people seem to take this idea way to far, and every time they think they see an Elliot Wave they place on trade on it. The problem is when you are looking at a continuous stream of a number sequence you will never know what part of the sequence you are on. You might think with your 1 hour chart you're about to see an upward turn when in fact it soars downwards. A lot of new traders are absolutely baffled by this, and assume that they are in a different sequence that is in a higher or lower time frame. So everything that happens can end up being explained because you can always find an Elliot Wave in a certain time frame, it might take you a while to find it, but you'll find it!

I'm not saying this applies to your theory, but I did notice that you seemed to find a bunch of other references to your Octant and 3s ideas. Such as the old philosophies, levels of happiness etc. I need more of a background to understand the atoms part, which could be absolutely brilliant, but I'm just saying what I've seen in the past.

I imagine that you could find a ton of references to many different numbers.

Indeed Felix has a cat's eye, KiGs. Felix can even see things at night that you and I KiGs could never see.

Felix actually I really view the octants as a SPHERICAL OCTAHEDRON like this:




This is how I view the 3 Borremeans rings enclosed with the 8 areas or dimensions ( Octants ). These 8 areas would enclose the colors ( visible light spectrum ), sounds ( the octave ), and the I Ching ( the 8 trigrams )

This is what I envision the Neutron looking like. Balanced with 4 positive and 4 negative charges.

The proton would be the open Venn Diagram model. With 4 positive and 3 negative charges. Net 1 positive charge to balance with the negative electron.
