Re: Cyclical Universe based on Big Rip Scenario - 01-17-2008, 08:14 PM

Dear dipayankar & Nobody:

Don't know that a higher compliment has ever been directed at my work, which amounts to an unprecedented assemblage and recognition of the works of others, especially Einstein... Albeit, this (below) is excerpted from chapter one, in response to dipayankar's question about gravity (on or near major gravitational coordinate systems).
__________________________________________________ ______

The formula is exactly as simple as it is inescapable. Einstein's GENERAL PRINCIPLE OF RELATIVITY equates gravity with acceleration. Einstein's 4th Dimension demands overall right-angle motion of the Three recognized Dimensions Of Space: in one of two possible 4-Dimensional directions (Overall expansion or overall contraction).
Since objects do not fall 'upward' and away from 3-D Matter, this rules out overall 4-Dimensional contraction.
Objects do fall 'downward' toward the center of 3-D Matter; therefore confirming by demonstration, in situ (as is): a physically (materially) expanding Universe. The unrecognized causal identity (the source) of the observed, measured, acknowledged, recognized spatially expanding universe.

The conclusion is without precedent - although it has many historically noted revolutionary counterparts and parallels, in the history of Western Science. Recognizing the four dimensional space time continuum as being gravity, and conversely, is and has been patently unavoidable since its remarkably progressive advent; for the reasons provided herein (Refer to Drawing 1 Illustrations 3 & 4)

The material as well as spatial Universe is 4-Dimensionally expanding; it is this 4-Dimensional accelerating expansion that generates the force experienced and recognized as gravity. Hence objects do not fall to earth; the earth - instead - accelerates upwardly and overtakes them (just as the floor does in Einstein's elevator). Gravity is the 4-D space-time Dimension.

'Center point mass'.

4-D accelerating expansion to macrocosmic infinity.

The same quantity of energy, distributed over an ever increasing space, squared.
(Without infringement on the law of conservation of mass-energy.)

This perspective anticipates a return of the abandoned Steady State universe.
Discarding any need for the 'spontanous creation of Hydrogen' to compensate for what would otherwise be the decreased density of the overall universe.

Whereas, 'cosmic background radiation' is the signature of any expanding universe scenario, where earlier eras of the expanding universe were inevitably more dense.

In the proposed interpretation of matter as a continuously expanding field, there is no 'big bang', 'big crunch', or 'big rip'. The materially and spatially expanding universe maintains the same relative density, from the infinite past to the infinite future, ergo: 'Steady State'.

Kind regards,
- RP

That was excellent RP... Thank you so much and I believe you deserve the compliment...

NoBangCrunch or Rip: return of Steady State - 02-07-2008, 07:37 PM

Hi Dipayankar:
The anticipated departure from the big bang appears to be continuing its foreseeable debut - making room on the slate for the orphaned steady state.

Best regards,
- RP

Puff

I'm confused.. you are referring to the steady state of what? Your quotations seem to portray that you do not accept any such theory.

I'm wondering if you have more info on when Einstein said that. I'm a fan of his and collect his sayings, pix etc.

I still feel Big Bang did happen at some time in the history of the Universe. Whether it created the Universe or no is debatable..

Hi Rufe:
Referring to the abandoned Steady State theory (of which I am an advocate), by Bondi, Gold and Hoyle. I think it will be reinstated.

As an Einstein fan, you may find this url, parts I through VII, interesting http://forums.delphiforums.com/EinsteinGroupie

Best regards,

The steady state theory does have a conflict with The theory of conservation of Mass and Energy
