Is there a reason "dark matter and dark energy" can't be equated like "matter and energy" or why both cases are not correlated to the energy spectrum?

Dark matter___ is that equal to light matter then?
Perhaps it would be more truthful or wise to unite or equate matter, rather than dividing matter into any uncertain differences, don't you agree?
