Melanie

I've decided to link to your work as a feature because it is so in line with the Universities' work, I will respect your wishes on this matter but I would really appreciate your permission to do so.

I usually put all namronsoar documents in 'Voice' and would appreciate a transcript in your voice but will make one in mine if you feel bashful. This is going to be a trend or awakening of sorts, and I agree with your thoughts on it being so apparent for so long.

It's funny that this ToeQuest month is dedicated to Consciousness. Your articles on non-duality express things that we should understand as truth, not speculation as the scientific community would have us believe.

I came here with this message two years ago and am now finding a lot of agreement on it and it's just so surprising to read how you have developed the subject in ways I have not even thought of.

I hope Robert and Toequest can gain some credit for this because it is the end of the Quest.

May I be the first to congratulate you!

and thanks

OK thanks, I think it will be done by tonight. My voice is a tad boring but I do it because I'm trying to learn this skill. Eventually I hope to have videos so that I can get people to actually hear these articles.

Melanie

There are three of your articles on the web in 'Contributors Toe Articles', two with voice but none placed in a feature position as yet. Listen to them and read the transcript. I would suggest that you consider an edit that is more designed to be read although I find no real problem with the way that they are now.

It's a pleasure to read something that is so correct in every way, although I don't really like religious representation because we are utterly ecumenical but you did mention budda and used a small j for jesus so I let it pass.

This is a learning experience in that articles that are designed to be read are slightly different from those designed to be spoken. An edit wouldn't hurt in the light of that.

suit yourself, be as picky as you like, I really don't have anything better to do

Also You might consider using your full name and including a small photo, but that's up to you. Let me know about the titles, I just used what came first.

Rufe,
jesus and buddha, were metaphorical historic figures, along with countless others, all stories made up by man, used for teaching purposes only,
they were not literal figures, pure myths imo,
this is only my assumption.

and yet people from all religious denominations still hold the idea that they are real people, and not just metaphors for spirituality.

today the word spirituality and religion are concepts like every other word
completely meaningless in the grand scheme of things.
There is only SEE -ing .... in THIS arising IS- ness which is already self evident.

Re: Mechanical Awakening - 02-07-2008, 05:54 AM

Some advaita communicators have a very gifted way with words,
so i would like to quote the following passage by Leo Hartong because i feel it would be
of immense interest to us all ...

Christ is another word for Buddha.
Or 'Christ' and 'Buddha' are two words pointing in the same direction.
They do not refer to historical characters.
Gautama and Jesus, may or may not have been historical characters...
That is... if we pretend that there really is 'a was'. And as long as we do,
I can read "The virgin birth, the crucifixion, the ascension" as words from a time when intuition prevailed over logic and where metaphor was ranked 'hinger' than formula.

If we read it from our current perspective we may read that a virgin birth is impossible, that the cross is God's cruelty and that the ascension is pure fiction/superstition.

On the other hand if we can look at it through 'the mindset' of that time, we could read the following....

The virgin birth: All comes from One...not from the 'intercourse' of two, hence 'a virgin birth.'

Next there is the cross; The 'descend' in the world of duality'...the yin and the yang, the horizontal and the vertical...the cross..
On this cross there is the apparent suffering and death of the individual..

.....The 'death' of the apparent individual shows that all have already been redeemed.
This is the 'setting free' -the return or 'ascension' to One's original state.

Those 3 'steps' form a universal 'formula' and are often used in story telling...having, losing, and regaining.
Or acting, going wrong, and redemption. Paradise, paradise lost, paradise regained. The opening act or setting, the 'meat of the story' and the resolution.

Love melanie.

Melanie

Those are very interesting religious views but I distrust all such views because of the male/white/? domination of religion and like politics tend to distance myself from such topics. (see my post in religion forum 'a message from god')

The feature page is up and I dedicated two fractals to you (Melanie 1 and 2) and they may even be in your colors, who knows? Let me know if the links work.

The feature link is on the index page middle button right now and I'm adding it to toe contrib etc.

I'm sorry I can't discuss religion because we are the god of all we survey and I think it's time we created some decent guidance for people other than the scriptures, which are utter nonsense.

Rufe it's not about religion read that last post again, and see what leo
was trying to explain.
They were views trying to explain religion away, trying to explain
the true nature of the nature of THIS arising IS-ness, this is all there is.

rufe, i agree about the religious jargon, it's all hogwash and people are beginning to wake up to this realization.

and now with the advent of these modern day advaita communicators
comes a new way of thinking and a better way of communicating the nature of our reality.
these advaita communicators are trying
to explain in much better and simpler terms that we are ONE truly divine BEING
experiencing through the many, it's nothing to do with religion and it's not dogma, we live in a conceptual universe,
and yet we have to communicate somehow,

all past perspectives of religious terminology were nothing but made up stories by man and are totally irrelevant in todays world.

the stories conveyed a meaning at the time, which still ring true today
because nothing has ever really changed, except that we now SEE the message
in a more clearer way., without believing literally in the ridicules preaching controlling dogma.

so the message is the same but without the dogma or ideology

love melanie.

Sometimes we have to go back to the beginning to see where we are,
only to realize that what we search for is already here and now

or NOW-HERE or nowhere ... forever unchanging,

for there is nothing new under the sun, as much as 'we' would like to believe otherwise ..

things change but nothing changes and still there are changes

there is nothing else just THIS already whole, complete, and conceived.

maybe this link will help regarding Advaita because it is BOTH old and new
or just THIS NOW
