I think that's the Tao Te Ching, Drifter, but that's a good point. The words written are considered to be a consensus of ancient thought, that lead one to realize the none; that the words are pointers in the direction of forgetting about speaking of the Tao.

Like in order to tell you to forget about what I write here, and what others write, I have to write it in order for you to be aware of the differentiation.

Great points, Melanie!

Selective memory, it's a wonderful thing . . .

I'm glad we're on the same wave length Nobody, it makes my parthimerz seem somewhat comical.

Maybe they only

Maybe they go underground

New words, a new melody,
Yet somehow
The same beloved,
Singing the same song.

THE PHILOSOPHER DESCARTES BELIEVED THAT HE HAD FOUND THE MOST FUNDAMENTAL TRUTH WHEN HE MADE HIS FAMOUS STATEMENT: "I Think therfore I am."
HE HAD IN FACT GIVEN EXPRESSION TO THE MOST FUNDAMENTAL ERROR: TO EQUATE THINKING WITH BEING AND IDENTITY WITH THINKING. THE COMPULSIVE THINKER, WHICH MEANS ALMOST EVERYONE, LIVES IN A STATE OF APPARENT SEPERATENESS, IN AN INSANELY COMPLEX WORLD OF CONTINUOUS PROBLEMS AND CONFLICT, A WORLD THAT REFLECTS THE EVER-INCREASING FRAGMENTATION OF THE MIND. ENLIGHTENMENT IS A STATE OF WHOLENESS, OF BEING "AT ONE" AND THEREFORE AT PEACE. AT ONE WITH LIFE IN IT'S MANIFESTED ASPECT - AT ONE WITH BEING. ENLIGHTENMENT IS NOT ONLY THE END OF SUFFERING AND OF CONTINOUS CONFLICT WITHIN AND WITHOUT, BUT ALSO THE END OF THE DREADFUL ENSLAVEMENT TO INCESSANT THINKING. WHAT AN INCREDIBLE LIBERATION THIS IS!
AND THIS, IS SPIRITUAL ENLIGHTENMENT [AWAKENING]! THE POWER OF NOW [paraphrased somewhat]-ECKHART TOLLE
HE HAS ARISEN, A NEW CREATURE STEPS FORTH FROM WITHIN AN OLD ONE.
HAPPY EASTER MEL

Yes, and after the Gnosis and because of love we are compelled to share the experience with all by writing about it.

That reaching out through the Spirit and bringing people together in oneness and wholesomeness is what Love does.

"Voidness is that which stands right in the middle between this and that. The void is all-inclusive; having no opposite, there is nothing which it excludes or opposes. The all illuminating light shines beyond the movement of opposites.

A lovely little book you can read in an hour that will turn your world inside out is "lucid living" by Timothy Freke.

We all want instant gratification because that the culture we live in today but:

"You may appear to be a physical body in the world, but you actually are awareness and the world exist in you.

You don't exist in time!

Look for yourself right now.

Time is the perpetual flow of ever-changing appearances which awareness witnesses.

Time exist in awareness. Awareness is outside of time.
You are timeless awareness dreaming itself to be a person in time.

Are you suffering from philosophical vertigo?

Your apparent identity is distinct from my apparent identity.

But is your essential identity as awareness distinct from my essential identity as awareness?

No.

We share our essential identity as awareness in common.

As awareness we are all one.

We are one awareness dreaming itself to be many diferent personas in the dream-life.

We are one awareness experiencing the life-dream from the different perspectives of these different personas.

That's massive!

Awareness is the Light that shines for each individuals eyes and lights their world as they know it but it is One Light.

Life is not what it seems, you/we are not who you/we think you/we are.

Water is infinitely flexible. It can be seen through, and yet at other times it can obscure things from sight. It can split and go around things, rejoining on the other side, or it can crash through things. Water is the embodiment of 'The Way Of No Way'... It can erode the hardest rocks by gently lapping away at them... just like Diplomacy, it never stops. In the episode of "Longstreet" discussed above, and in numerous other interviews in the later part of his life Bruce Lee gave what is, I believe, the ultimate Diplomacy quote:
"Empty your mind. Be like water.
Put water into a cup, it becomes the cup.
Put water into a bottle, it becomes the bottle.
Put water into a teapot, it becomes the teapot.
Water can flow, it can creep, drip or crash!!!
Be water, my friend.
"
