I sorta came to that possibility as I reread you post this a.m.
I'm guilty of similar actions myself, that's how we make things [principles and precepts] our own, living by them.
I have all Freke and Gandy's recent books and have posted excerpts here when applicable.
Very well written indeed, both are Gnostics and I kinda consider my thought processes in the same light.

Check out Timothy Freke's Lucid Living (and other books) in this regard. Very well presented.

D. | No problem Drifter...just trying to avoid a squabble between two (not2?) fictitious characters...

Once "known", the seeking ends, and the sharing begins?
Best to you too Friend

D. | I don't believe that the "epiphany" or AHA can be actively sought in the same way certain types of experiences can be actively sought via practicing certain methods. Realization is not an experience...it is the dropping away of experiencing reality in a certain "clouded" way...it is the falling away of your "self" as "experiencer"/"doer". It cannot be "done"...it just happens...almost accidentally. As has been said...enlightenment is an accident, but we can make ourselves accident prone.
I agree, of course, that once "known", the seeking ends, and the sharing begins.

But until the dropping away happens and the doer thereof disappears we are all experience seekers, who sought an experience or a gnosis, the awareness or Self-Realization that arises from that then Gnosis does not, Having already happened, as a postmortem Isness, transcended of any apparent, supposed doer. The doer dematerializes with this transcendency, into the knowing, or, with the knowing. What's left is the Is-ness, we all Is.
The doer then, becomes the Done.
And so It Is.
Sweet. =-)

The universal sum total of "all the fragments" [perspectives].
"The Universal Is", the God of our understanding, or the Buddha, or the Krishna, or the Arjuna, or the Christ, or the Nothing, the Abyss, the Void, Allah, Consciousness, Awareness, or whatever. . .May you find him now. . .
God as many names but there is only One God.

Noted environmental behavior stems from confirmed and reconfirmed observation accepted as law.
The behavior is real and can be mapped to an equation. modeled, reproduced at will.
The quest is for knowledge and understanding. To raise ones self up from ignorance is a driving force in some. Knowing the unknown, not to be God's.
In this quest, there must be a separation of what is mankind(mind)
and what is enviroment(light,mass,energy, etc.)
While the understanding of mankind is an interior quest, the understanding of nature is an exterior quest.
If you mix 'interior' quest with 'exterior' quest, you have biased and distorted your current and future understanding of BOTH.
one more observation.......
