Toying with the little story and pics., "imaginations", was apparently an induction trigger. A current deduction, and a relatively ancestral and parental[protective] perception is one that "karma" or yin and yang possibly dictates "an abstract re-incarnation" of some held over energy in some way unknown to us but working universally somehow within us all.

When I think about A.D.D. [attention deficit disorder] which is probly more predominant in our society than we truly are aware of, it's only fitting that the first or earliest recorded example of it could be said to be, Eve [Eve as our wayward soul, separated from Adam/Spirit~as first principle]in the Garden of Eden. After all separation was "the original sin" some say and our current themes and interesting posts seem to point that out, at least as I see it.

In the stillness of the void there is happiness, or rather a lack of suffering, and no duality to speak of. When "consciousness arises" we, because thats when duality begins imho, and the labeling mechanism [mind] takes over or "assists" is really when all the trouble 'begins'.

Anyway, the origins and effects of ADD in it's subtlest form is just an "imagination" I'm toying around with.

They must have some pretty good drugs for that condition, don't ya think?

I like what you've said here very very true.

I wrote something this morning and posted it on michaels thread.
I'm going to post it here too, i think it is appropriate here also.

It's all gods dream you know, so problems arise when we take
our 'appearance' in the dream too seriously.
Yet we are 'apparently' still responsible for this manifestation to be possible.



Nothing can die for it was never born.
All THIS .. is spirit APPEARING in form. [Visible]
Spirit is the opposite to what is SEEN [Invisible]
Spirit is invisible until Seen which is form.
We can't have one without the other, ( think about that very carefully)
WE ARE THE SEEN.

There is no separation between the two.
They arise mutually together in this conception.


Now for the brain that got too big, they might argue
how can something not seen even exist?
Well it is seen in the seeing it is self evident.
I mean we humans didn't make ourselves did we?
It appears in our consciousness.
Where is consciousness? invisible until it appears in the seen, visible.

So
No-thing is dead because no-thing was ever born except as ''appearance''
and 'appearances' have no lasting reality.

It's all a dream.

We have to go back to reading old literature and scriptures,
and there are plenty of new books about awakening available too.

The old scriptures in there many varying descriptions and stories have been telling us for thousands of years about our reality.

The problem with modern man you see is that his brain got too big.

He thinks modern science and technology will find the solutions to life's problems.

Yet in the process of DISCOVERING he doesn't realize that
any neglectful human interference,
causes a detrimental effect on nature's delicate and elegant balance.

We still need to obey natures laws.

We are unconsciously poisoning our beautiful planet,
She sustains us, she has given us so much,
we are having a detrimental affect on our mother due to our relentless and excessive material attachment and dependancy.

So it's back to square one as usual, back to basics again!
because in reality nothing changes.
We are not changing something for the better like we assume we are.
By trying to interfere, we are making things worse.

Our reality is changeless .. change appears .. but the changes are the many expressions of this one conception. Which is changeless.

It is a closed loop. We have to adhere to natures own harmony and balance.
IT was there in the beginning, as told by the eden metaphor,
Eden is still here, but we have gotten lost in the fog of our own making.

Hopefully we are beginning to wake up and see the beauty through the fog
if we don't wake up soon, we will extinct this earthly place of all humans.

Pure consciousness is ALL of creation.
Consciousness .. is not just the human brain that got too big.
It is all of creation we are natures co-creators and we are not doing a very good job right now.

The ego[the thinking mechanism] is an activity that we are doing, rather than a "something" that we can examine and figure out (as if the ego were a separate "object") .

Even the language that we use day to day constantly affirms the existence of a separate "I", even though no such "thing" exists.


Every individual must truly discover that the "I" is his or her own activity [perception of objectivity]— which He [the witness, mistakenly] calls the "self"-contraction — in order to grow in the process of Realization.



This mis-identification is the source of all our suffering, and our mis-perception about death.

I personally agree with you here Drifter,, i think all our maladies are from an over identification with the self, the self frustrates itself when it can't find itself.
We search out there in materialism and look for satisfying relationships.
These are fleeting and never fulfill our desires, so we feel isolated and lost.
Resulting negativity sets in, which is toxic to the body mind organism,
it can cause all sorts of psychosomatic ailments imprisoning us in a downward spiral of hopelessness.

It's not an easy adventure, especially when we try to control it,
we have to learn to surf the moment to let it unfold as it wants to
like the cresting of a wave, we are a moment to moment unfoldment
when we don't resist it and flow with it, it will carry us where we need to go,
we don't need to do anything.

yea, a couple points your post made me think of was
1. Are you familiar with Dr. Mazaru Emotos [pioneering research]work in the photography of water crystal formations and the effect "thought" apparent has on them?
2. Patrick Swayzee's been in the news lately. I remember a movie "Dead Presidents" that had a lot of philosophical undertones/overtones in it, none that came immediately to mind, just curious is maybe you caught it. If I recall, it was pretty good.
3. All our sufferings come from that first step of mis-identification. It's so subtle when we think how long we've taken to condition ourselves away from what was self-evident, at the time, now long, long ago. I sometimes feel like life has just been a witnessing event for me, and I wasn't really in it, I thought I was at one time, couldn't have convinced me otherwise as a matter of fact, now, . . . .

things are different, thats all.

Then, in later years, to find out about our mistaken identities, do it all over again, I thought I had that already figured out! damn-it. lol
