=Drifter:
Metanoia and Metamorphosis is a singular event appearing as two.
"Last night I was a Man, Dreaming he was a butterfly,
Am I today, a Butterfly, Dreaming it is a man?"
| Is this metanoia & metamorphosis concept just a metaphor for....
''the second coming of the christ''
The christ doesn't appear literally.
the second coming is ... another metaphor for Self Realization.
While incarnate.
The christ is in us all along, we are the christ.
And the anti christ in us ... is the one that reveals the real christ in us.
just a thought.

The Gnostic Buddha
The historical Buddha Shakyamuni did not come to start a religion or to gather worshippers:
he came to demonstrate to all beings how they themselves must work to escape suffering.
This is the essence of Gnosis: knowledge that is acquired by one's own efforts.
“I cannot pull someone from the hell realm and carry them to nirvana. Leaving samsara, attaining nirvana or buddhahood,
depends on your own efforts.
You cannot rely on anyone - not the guru,
or the Buddha and bodhisattvas.” – The 14th Dalai Lama | | | | Grandmaster

That's my understanding, you are right on all accounts lovey.
Ego I would presume, is the anti-Christ. if so it might be said.
Our higher Self [higher than our ego's that is] is the Christ within we [as our lower selves] "awaken too".
Lovely, don't you think?

mel. | Ever think of the anti-christ (identity with separate existence in the world) and the second coming of christ (identity with the Source) in a both/and way...as the opposing ends of a duality that is actually not two...yin/yang...dark/light...?
