Earthquakes in fact are common geology event that happens all over the world all year round every month with a series of larger earthquakes happening occassionally, see "Significant Earthquakes of the World". Comparing just the numbers, there were 13 above 6.5 magnitude earthquakes in the first two months of 2010, 11 in 2009 and 25 in 2008.
From the UVS perspective, the alignment of Saturn, Sun and Jupiter is reaching its maximum within two years from now and this would progressive have an effect for events of earthquake that could increase its number as well as magnitude.
