Picture a tree.
As you move up the trunk, you zoom in and realise that the trunk actually appears to be vibrating, pulsating as you move up along it.
Expansion, Contraction, Expansion, Contraction, over and over... then, suddenly something changes.
One of the expansions doesn't fold back in on itself, there is a flaw inside of it, another expansion trying to get out. So that expansion opens up and the flaw is born to expand.
The cycle continues until one of the expansions produces two flaws, and suddenly it branches, and splits off. Fractal structures emerge as each expansion births more and more flaws, and thus more expansions.
Eventually you realize the expansions have an interesting sort of structure, one that is familiar to you, they look like flowers, bud to petal to folding back up into a bud.
The flowers that make seeds cannot close up around them, so the petals fall away and the seeds open into buds and flowers themselves.
As you move up the tree, you suddenly see another change, the later flowers don't just produce seeds, they produce complex extended bodies containing many seeds... fruit!
We find ourselves within one of those fruits, wondering about the nature of the tree it grew from, why the seeds within it seem so strange, and attempting to understand the nature of the flesh of the fruit itself.
I don't like to be so brash and unhumble about it, but if I haven't found a theory of everything yet, I'm certain I'm on the right track.
