Firstly, I must state why I believe that a state of total nothingness is a fundamental impossibility. If it were possible, total nothingness would be the only form of existence. It would possess but a singular property; eternally persistent “non-potential”. Therefore, it would never be able to become something other than total nothingness. I.E. “Thing” would not have ever been capable of coming into this existence. Existence would forever be an empty set, unable to fill itself. Obviously, this is not the case. This follows that because “things” clearly DO exist, the fundamental nature of existence must be an eternally persistent state of “infinite potential”.
Because of this, an infinite amount of utterly different realities or universes are absolutely inevitable. So, how exactly do these universes come into existence? I have devised a hypothesis that describes in detail how this process may occur. Regardless of a complete lack of empirical evidence to support my hypothesis, I do not believe it is any less valid than some other theories I have read recently, many of with have their fair share of non-empirical aspects. This is my attempt at explaining why the nature of our universe is seemingly so utterly random, yet uniformly persistent.
The infinite potential of existence is self-organized into a system of eternal symbiotic equilibrium, occurring between the two absolute opposite states of existential behaviour; total chaos and total order. This is the nature of affairs outside the closed system of a universe. It is comprised of a kind of energy so hot and so fast that it simply could not exist within a universe. Its very presence inside a universe would completely liquefy it.
By its very nature, existence is simultaneously both an "unstoppable flow” and an "immovable object”. The unstoppable flow takes the form of an infinitely long and constantly flowing stream of "forward" persistence. This is the manifestation of total order. Forward is simply the direction that existence itself is facing. This flow is infinitely adaptable and 100% predictable because it will always be flowing at a constant rate, and cannot flow the other way.
The immovable takes the form of an infinite amount of chaotically shaped “solid” objects, present all the way up and down the entire length of the unstoppable flow. This is the manifestation of total chaos. Every possible shape of chaos can be found at a certain point somewhere along this flow. These objects are all infinity different from one another. Obviously, neither the unstoppable flow can be stopped, nor the immovable objects be moved. At this point, something’s got to give.
Eventually the flow adapts and contorts itself to the chaotic shapes of the immovable objects in order to find a way “over” them and in effect, not be stopped. As a result of this eternal system, the unstoppable flow is in constant friction with each immovable object. From all of these points of friction, a shower of energy sparks is constantly being released outward from all of the objects. All the sparks coming from the same specific point of any one of the objects contain identical chaotically defined “parameters”, based entirely on the chaotic shape and composition of there originating point on the object. Each different point releases sparks with utterly different parameters to every other point.
All the sparks that are released in the same instant from a particular object group themselves together in a loosely spherical shape and remain in close proximity to each other as they continue to move further and further away from the point of friction. The sparks on the edge of a proximate sphere form into a bubble-like membrane that acts as a closed system to contain the sparks within. These membranes are universe embryos. A new embryo emerges from all the points of friction at every successive instant of persistence. We call this process the big bang. Because of this eternal system, the big bang of every universe is happening at every moment. The identical membranes generated from the same point link together and continue to move away like an eternally flowing chain, stretching away into infinity.
The eternal flow of the membranes along the chains is what causes time. The effect felt within the space inside a membrane is what we know as space-time. The further a membrane gets from the point of friction, the cooler the sparks within it get and the larger the embryo expands. Once they cool down to there “effective” temperatures, all the matter and energy of that universe begins to form, and then to abide by there own respective behavioural parameters. This causes the different laws of physics for all the membrane chains. These laws define what can and cannot be possible within the closed system of a universe.
The initial shape of chaos that our universe grew from is exactly what it must have been in order to cause it to contain all the kinds of matter and energy that it does and for it to behave just as it does. We have measured that the particular membrane we all exist within emerged from its point of friction around about 14 billion years ago. The amount of membranes behind ours on our chain only stretch as far back as the point of friction, with a new one emerging from that point and being added to the chain every successive instant. I believe the membranes ahead of us stretch of into infinity. Therefore, time is infinite. All the other membrane chains operate in the same way with their own chaotically defined parameters.
This is the way I believe all existence works. It is the Existential Constant.
