    The Existential Constant

Firstly, I must state why I believe that a state of total nothingness is a fundamental impossibility. If it were possible, total nothingness would be the only form of existence. It would possess but a singular property; eternally persistent “non-potential”. Therefore, it would never be able to become something other than total nothingness. I.E. “Thing” would not have ever been capable of coming into this existence. Existence would forever be an empty set, unable to fill itself. Obviously, this is not the case. This follows that because “things” clearly DO exist, the fundamental nature of existence must be an eternally persistent state of “infinite potential”.

Because of this, an infinite amount of utterly different realities or universes are absolutely inevitable. So, how exactly do these universes come into existence? I have devised a hypothesis that describes in detail how this process may occur. Regardless of a complete lack of empirical evidence to support my hypothesis, I do not believe it is any less valid than some other theories I have read recently, many of with have their fair share of non-empirical aspects. This is my attempt at explaining why the nature of our universe is seemingly so utterly random, yet uniformly persistent.

The infinite potential of existence is self-organized into a system of eternal symbiotic equilibrium, occurring between the two absolute opposite states of existential behaviour; total chaos and total order. This is the nature of affairs outside the closed system of a universe. It is comprised of a kind of energy so hot and so fast that it simply could not exist within a universe. Its very presence inside a universe would completely liquefy it.

By its very nature, existence is simultaneously both an "unstoppable flow” and an "immovable object”. The unstoppable flow takes the form of an infinitely long and constantly flowing stream of "forward" persistence. This is the manifestation of total order. Forward is simply the direction that existence itself is facing. This flow is infinitely adaptable and 100% predictable because it will always be flowing at a constant rate, and cannot flow the other way.

The immovable takes the form of an infinite amount of chaotically shaped “solid” objects, present all the way up and down the entire length of the unstoppable flow. This is the manifestation of total chaos. Every possible shape of chaos can be found at a certain point somewhere along this flow. These objects are all infinity different from one another. Obviously, neither the unstoppable flow can be stopped, nor the immovable objects be moved. At this point, something’s got to give.

Eventually the flow adapts and contorts itself to the chaotic shapes of the immovable objects in order to find a way “over” them and in effect, not be stopped. As a result of this eternal system, the unstoppable flow is in constant friction with each immovable object. From all of these points of friction, a shower of energy sparks is constantly being released outward from all of the objects. All the sparks coming from the same specific point of any one of the objects contain identical chaotically defined “parameters”, based entirely on the chaotic shape and composition of there originating point on the object. Each different point releases sparks with utterly different parameters to every other point.

All the sparks that are released in the same instant from a particular object group themselves together in a loosely spherical shape and remain in close proximity to each other as they continue to move further and further away from the point of friction. The sparks on the edge of a proximate sphere form into a bubble-like membrane that acts as a closed system to contain the sparks within. These membranes are universe embryos. A new embryo emerges from all the points of friction at every successive instant of persistence. We call this process the big bang. Because of this eternal system, the big bang of every universe is happening at every moment. The identical membranes generated from the same point link together and continue to move away like an eternally flowing chain, stretching away into infinity.

The eternal flow of the membranes along the chains is what causes time. The effect felt within the space inside a membrane is what we know as space-time. The further a membrane gets from the point of friction, the cooler the sparks within it get and the larger the embryo expands. Once they cool down to there “effective” temperatures, all the matter and energy of that universe begins to form, and then to abide by there own respective behavioural parameters. This causes the different laws of physics for all the membrane chains. These laws define what can and cannot be possible within the closed system of a universe.

The initial shape of chaos that our universe grew from is exactly what it must have been in order to cause it to contain all the kinds of matter and energy that it does and for it to behave just as it does. We have measured that the particular membrane we all exist within emerged from its point of friction around about 14 billion years ago. The amount of membranes behind ours on our chain only stretch as far back as the point of friction, with a new one emerging from that point and being added to the chain every successive instant. I believe the membranes ahead of us stretch of into infinity. Therefore, time is infinite. All the other membrane chains operate in the same way with their own chaotically defined parameters.

This is the way I believe all existence works. It is the Existential Constant.

    Re: The Existential Constant

I like the analogy you presented and that's quite similar to analogies I've used also, though I tend to see it the other way around (and it's understandable that these can be reversed because physical experiences are along the interface between these two extremes) - imagine a creative energy that can create randomly selected problems and a perfect intelligence that can solve any of them - the intelligence can't change its answer without it being "wrong" and so it can never change, whereas the creative energy does not operate by this logic and can create any sort of problem for it - in effect the energy changes the logic though in a sense the computations could not be changed because they were correct and so all of these computations can't be overwritten, but must instead accumulate and grow and the energy is effectively selecting what to grow or expand upon, which is similar to a will or action and the resulting logical form is the experience (though translated into various perceptions).

There could be a limit to what can be changed though and still remain within a common space - if any and all components of a "problem" or "question" could be altered, then there is no space of correlation between these and no coherency between events over time. If a timeline from both perspectives exist (and these might be seen similar to a subjective timeline versus an objective cause and effect chain), then a change in one should cause a change in the other.

Also, if both spaces can be mapped to constant velocity mediums, then this one to one correlation between spaces should also be motions to adjacent locations in each.

There's also a way to put this into a context of rotations of objects (though it's fundamentally constructed from swapping adjacent elements in a single timeline and if we accumulate all these, it constructs a mapping from one space to another and it could appear similar to little wormholes within a single space that reorder events between even multiple observers - this could also resemble your view of a fluid flowing within a complex space - a fluid is ideally incompressible and so you'd have a volume of fluid/space being reordered/rotated/flowing and giving the perception of an interaction with material within space).

There are also some correlations here with atomic orbitals and addition and multiplication.

If we have a volume of space that contains n units and we have a transformation that reorders them (similar to a constrained flow within a fixed volume) we could connect these into a ring of n units and this would be like a single pathway winding through the space with every unit moving to an adjacent element and then wrapping back after n units.

On the other extreme we could have all these n units "moved" to the same position they're already in, in which case we have n stationary units and no motion. We can split these up in many ways and create pathways that always sum up to n units, but the period of time over which this "fluid" appears to cycle ends being quite complex and it depends upon the relative ratios between lengths of a cycle.

For example, if n was 10 and we have 10 volumes of space. If we selected two pathways within it as lengths 3 and 7, then this "space" cycles over a period of 3*7=21 units of time and the space can appear to be larger than it actually is.

On the other hand, if we split these 10 units into 2 independent segments of 5 each, then both of these two spaces remain synchronized and this can appear as just a single space with a length/volume of 5 units.

There's actually a very natural yet complex manner in which this form of structure could be perceived to grow.

If you're interesting in any ideas along these lines here're a couple posts I made in this regard:

    Re: The Existential Constant

    — Beyond Local Reality —

Time, space, stuff, change, and form were real-ized from
    The Fundamental Possibility,
    Becoming our penultimate reality—
    One possible from all probabilities.

    — Superposition —

Our reality came not from nothing,
    But existed always as possibility,
One that amounts to something workable,
    Among all in superposition.

    — The First Impossibility —

No form of our penultimate realness
    Could have existed alone before
    Everything was quantum-known-all-at-once,
For what could have made the choice among many?

    — The Second Impossibility —

Nor came it from an absolute nothing,
Since there can be no such ‘thing’ at all,
So, since either way is impossible,
    Fundamental Possibility is.

    — The Unbelievable Truth —

    This ultimate basis of reality
Though not much like our local reality,
Is hinted at by quantum physics—
It forms reality real as can be!

    Re: The Existential Constant

This all sounds familiar to me because I've thought the same things too but in different ways.

I agree, if you have nothing to begin with then you can't make anything out of it. But I try to imagine the earth alone, with nothing but plant and animal life on it, millions of years ago. Now look at it, full of things like buildings and cars and computers, made from what seemingly appeared to be nothing to begin with.

Because of this, an infinite amount of utterly different realities or universes are absolutely inevitable. So, how exactly do these universes come into existence? I have devised a hypothesis that describes in detail how this process may occur. Same with earth, I am going to try to parallel earth with your description. I think the 2 will have to line up for it to be a most likely possibility.

I see the order out of chaos. I imagine a busy city, cars and people moving in all different directions, doing many different things for different reasons. Looks chaotic but they all have a purpose which gives them order. All the chaos doesn't amount to all the order in a universe, you can have star and gravity chaos mixed together even though they end up going separate ways.

Can you put the hot and fast in earth terms? What could possibly happen here that would completely liquefy society?

By its very nature, existence is simultaneously both an "unstoppable flow” and an "immovable object”. The unstoppable flow takes the form of an infinitely long and constantly flowing stream of "forward" persistence. This is the manifestation of total order. Forward is simply the direction that existence itself is facing. This flow is infinitely adaptable and 100% predictable because it will always be flowing at a constant rate, and cannot flow the other way.
I see the flowing stream forward, one thing that is consistent on earth as being life. Immovable? I am trying to put that in terms of something on earth and that could be equal to time? But life doesn't flow at a constant rate, we keep multiplying more. If we start out with 2 couples, they make 8 people and then those 8 people make 24, is that squaring? Well, I guess it could be a constant rate but for every 64, you take 8 steps back and so on and so forth.

Now I see the immovable object as the existence of people/life.

Constant friction, all the chaos in a busy city, it's all like a butterfly effect thing? 2 different people both play a part of the same system but in totally different ways that seem to be unconnected but are.

I am getting this is how the earth is formed but then you lost me.

Can you relate this to something on earth for me?

This is where you sum it all up but please put it in earth terms so it can be more plausible.

This is the way I believe all existence works. It is the Existential Constant.
Yeaa, me too but in terms of life on earth. You are really close though.
