Sally, you may be thinking of some Geckos that are female only. They reproduce exact clones of themselves without having sex.

This makes the whole population more susecptable to one and only one pathogen i.e. with biodiveersity there is less chance of one pathogen killing off the a whole species.

I understand that the head of the penis and the clitoris originate as same organism and same psoitioning, however, whereas men have both an X and Y chromosome women lack the Y chromosome.

From this info only you would think that men would carry the potential RNA-DNA equipment to be woman but a woman would not carry the RNA-DNA equipment to be a man.

OF thw womans two X chromosomes one of them is called a barr body and is very compacted ergo smaller. It is only in last 20 years that they realize that 18 of the genes on the Barr body remain active.

Do you know if any of mans X chromosome are active?

For what it is worth, I beleive a women are more complex than men and that women are the most complex biological of universe, that we know of.
