As far as religion and God, I would like us to talk person to person not in written words appearing in this forum.
Time independence: [∂E(g)]²=[∂F(a)×∂r(a)]·[∂F(b)×∂r(b)] and Mass independence: ¶a(t)·¶r(t)=c²

Actually there are infinitely many roads for us to choose from. Some lead to happiness and properity, some to despair and poverty, some to complete understanding and optimism, some to doubt and hopelessness but the one and only path that no one can avoid is the path to the underworld of death and everlasting sleep. But for people who believe in heaven and hell then they definitely know where they are going.Originally Posted by labelwench

Why isn't this thread good for such a discussion? Are you suggesting we talk by phone? My phone number is ... wait, it's not a good idea to post it here is it, lol?
Let's see how things go between us on the QWC scenarios and your concerns with my thread before we exchange phone numbers in public.
I respect your grasp of theory, various theories and their mathematical relationships. I am generally aware of most cosmology related theories from a layman position and the pop science publications that describe them. My career as an accountant is my only credential that applies to the grasp of math but my college years and subsequent exposure to the sciences of physics and cosmology have given me the faith to believe the math that accompanies the theories even though I have never worked it through. I also think I can appreciate the common consensus that no theory, even with perfect math, is considered complete when it comes to the cosmology of the universe.
I have developed an attitude that though it would be nice to be able to understand the equations, that is now out of my reach due to the fact that those days of intense learning in precise disciplines are behind me. I also would like to be able to do the LaTeX notations that appear in some threads but my inability to do that is directly related to my lack of expertise at higher math.
Maybe my use of the "alternative view" thread and my use of scenarios and written definitions is the best I can do. Clearly not much of a vehicle for discussion but I live with it.
I believe the word 'all' could also be taken to mean infinitely many.
Yes, you have clearly stated that the end of our present human condition (death) is the fate towards which we are all headed, by various means, at at differing life expectancies, depending on genetics, geography and guesswork in making choices that might prolong our interlude.
What happens beyond that has as many or more theories than the origins of the universe.
Life is the middle of an open-ended question from my perspective.
The 'middle game' is very interesting, but the answers may not be found here, I'm guessing.
Still, the best way to prolong one's existence, is to have as much understanding as possible of whence we came and whither we proceed.

I consider the length of life and agree that choices are a major determinate. I try to optimize the choices to accomplish duration but will opt for quality over duration when my health crosses a certain line (a moving target I bet). In the mean time while experiencing life I consider my ToeQuest friends a great asset.

I quite concur.
This forum provides a marvelous opportunity for persons from all walks of life and diverse culture, social and educational backgrounds to exchange ideas on a myriad of topics.
In designing this forum, Robert has done well to diversify, IMO, as the road to the TOE may well be found from any perspective, and to place parameters that would restrict some of the more obscure paths, might well defeat the purpose. The few restrictions on divisive topics does not prohibit their discussion in relation to the goal of finding a theory of everything, and does but guide us all in maintaining a respect for each other and those perspectives that may not be of our experiencing or complete understanding.
Your thoughts somewhat mirror mine, in that I would also choose quality over quantity, and as I am merely mortal, would choose both parameters for myself, and all others who wished likewise.

I need to look into your eyes as the windows of your soul and be able to determine your sincerity.Originally Posted by Bogie
