More on mass and gravity detail

Moving on, I have added speculation about the blue shifting of photons which occurs at the light speed squared encounter between a superluminally expanding arena of dark energy some call a Big Bang, and the pre-existing energy background filled with photon energy from a history of mature arenas.

I speculate that matter could form when photons are blue shifted to a halt when the space that they encounter is filled with dark energy rushing toward them at or greater than the speed of light. I call that a “light speed squared” encounter because of the obvious c^2 relationship between energy and matter and because it has a nice ring to it.

Of course it is just speculation and I am aware that my method of speculating on top of speculation troubles some. It troubles Lloyd and Antonio and both are welcome to post on my thread. My recent discussion with Antonio was very interesting to me and helpful and we were able to complete the discussion in an amiable fashion. QWC offers some degree of entertainment value as a result of interactions like that, and it is a cure for the idle mind.

So in QWC now I have matter forming in the new arena from the energy quanta in the universal thermalized blackbody background containing low energy photons that traverse all space in all directions; every new arena sends its unquantized dark energy into this background at superluminal speed and matter forms and ramps up to fill the arena with galaxies. I like it.

And I can predict that I will rewrite it and adjust it and elaborate on it. I’m already considering angular momentum and how it would arise and become incorporated into particles as the matter forms from the energy quanta. Also I want to try to do a better job of speculation about the temporary nature of the high density spot and how the spots are repetitive and able to maintain the presence stable particles of matter that move through space.

In addition, I haven’t made my speculations about gravity very clear. When the high density spot forms it is automatically surrounded by space that contains energy that is of lower density than the high density spot. The QWC phrase is that the whole universe falls into that low density space surrounding the high density spots which in effect pulls everything toward the spots as they form. The formation of the high density spot and the creation of the low energy density space surrounding it occur simultaneously and so to say the whole universe reacts by moving toward the spot, that does not happen after the spot is formed, it happens as the spot is formed.

The energy that goes into the spot from the photon was in its wave form until the spot forms and then the energy collapses into a high density spot (the photon particle) that pulls the universe toward it as it forms. The energy of the spot is immediately disbursed because of the nature of energy to equalize its density across its environment. The high density spot cannot be maintained in its original location and gets disbursed as a spherical quantum wave of energy emanating from the spot. But this burst of the spot does not zero out the gravity that was initiated when the spot formed because new spots form as the adjacent quantum waves intersect and overlap. Each new spot perpetuates that collapse of energy that created the original spot and so the gravity of the original spot is conserved and the universe keeps falling toward each spot as it forms. I'll work on the description of this speculation because I know it is not easy to grasp what I am speculating.

Think about the space between two distant objects that have formed this way and whose gravity is continually pulling the energy density of the universe toward it. What happens is that mass creates low energy density space surrounding it. The collapse of energy to initially form the matter reaches out across the energy background as a low energy density wave of gravity and the path that matter takes through space follows the lowest energy density path.

Many of us are as certain as we can be that there is a universal medium for the same reasons that Nainan expresses in his “Hypothesis on MATTER”. I quote from his article. “Universal Medium”:

Abstract: Space is a functional entity, presupposed by rational beings, whenever real entities are envisaged. Being a functional entity, space has no structure or form. It can neither physically act nor is able to undergo physical actions. By realising a real entity that fills the entire space as an all-encompassing universal medium, the formless space can be replaced with a structured real entity. This real entity will have positive existence and at the same time, it can have all properties currently assigned to space or to other imaginary entities like; different types of aether, imaginary particles or various types of fields. No actions can be performed at a distance through empty space. An all-encompassing medium is essential to facilitate (apparent) physical actions between matter bodies at a distance. Aether, used in aether-theories is too vague and fails to describe many physical actions of matter bodies, logically. ‘Hypothesis on MATTER’ envisages an all-encompassing medium, which has only one type of real (postulated) constituent particles and definite properties. If you read the article, the section called “Space” seems to cover the topic nicely and I agree with his observations and discussion on the nature of space and the ways that we attempt to describe it and what is in it, and how “action at a distance” is explained by various theories.

He follows with a discussion of the “Universal Medium” and the characteristics of such a medium are well covered; however his solution turns out to be 1D and 2D quanta which form 2D energy fields. This is where my personal view brings me to object on the basis that his solution is imaginary since nothing physical can exist in 1D or 2D and a quantum is defined as a discrete physical amount of non-zero rest mass.

Therefore, presence of a zero rest mass reduces in solutions of equation (9) without P - symmetries. It can mean that in a progression to the limit, substance - field appearing on the chronoquantum boundary of CTE in Minkowski’s metric space will be significally nonsymmetric. It is inapplicable to particles with a nonzero rest mass since in the fixed relative frame of reference all directions in space are equivalent.”

QWC has a solution to the “action at a distance” problem that includes a universal medium but that does not require an imaginary 1D or 2D component or a particle with zero rest mass. We cannot detect it for the same reasons that Nainan explains in his article and his book. This medium exists, our minds view it as space, and science has failed to detect anything there.

There must be a medium in space that detectable 3D objects with rest mass exist within and that they move freely through without friction. But also, this medium must exist within three dimensional objects because nothing is infinitely dense and infinitely heavy. Any infinitely dense solid object regardless of its dimensions would be a “great attractor” and everything in the universe would fall at it if it functioned like any physical mass that we are familiar with, i.e. if it had gravity.

My speculated solution to the problem of infinite density is to conclude that there is a limit to the density of the substance that particles are composed of and beyond which the substance of particles becomes so dense that they cannot function as particles with mass. Functional particles with mass require internal space in order to function. The substance of which particles are composed then maintains a detectable physical presence by maintaining the required internal space and a non-zero rest mass.

A particle must exist in space and yet not be infinitely dense in any finite volume of space. This means that there can be no point within a particle that could be referred to as “solid”.

Therefore a particle exists in a patch of space and exists within some universal medium that not only surrounds that patch of space but must also exists at all points within that patch of space so that no point in the particle is infinitely dense.

The universal medium and the substance of particles must be able to be differentiated in space, even though neither substance can be detected. In order for a particle to be differentiated from the universal medium there must be a differentiating characteristic. That characteristic is energy density and the characteristic that distinguishes the particle from the universal medium is non-zero rest mass.

In QWC, rest mass is defined in terms of energy quanta. If there is a quantum of energy present there is rest mass and if there are no quanta present there is the universal medium, thus the medium and the particle are differentiated and the quantum of energy has volume and rest mass.

QWC change in terminology: The process of quantum action has previously been referred to in terms of energy density. Now it is referred to in terms of density of a universal medium or aether medium.

A case for a universal medium (Prerequisites: Quantum action; Michelson-Morley)

The fact that there is no ether wind does not mean there is no universal medium (aether medium). In QWC the universal medium is continually being used to refresh the presence of mass through the process of quantum action and so mass is not moving through it but is continually and rapidly pulling it in and pushing it out.

As stated before, this quantum action is initiated at the instant that a particle is formed within the universal medium because the formation of a high density spot or group of synchronized spots (a particle), is accompanied by the formation of a low density space surrounding the high density spot. These new particles, i.e. their high density spots cannot be maintained because of the surrounding low density and they burst into an expanding spherical wave of the medium. The spherical waves overlap with adjacent waves and new high density spots form at the crests thus providing the effect that we observe as the presence of mass at rest. If an object is in motion the group of high density spots reform in a slightly different location every quantum period.

Mass changes location one quantum at a time as quanta form high density spots using the aether medium. From a perspective deep inside the matter of an object, quantum by quantum the mass is represented only for an instant during each quantum period as quantum action takes place, but there are so many quanta within even the smallest particle with mass that there are a substantial number of high density spots at any instant to establish the presence of the mass. Each quantum forms a high density spot from the aether medium (the universal medium). Each high density spot bursts into an expanding wave of this medium, and that medium contributes to subsequent high density spots that form and that re-establish the presence of the mass. Each new spot forms in a slightly different location and the shift in locations of all the spots in an object from one quantum period to the next represents motion of the object.

The aether medium is the object and the object is the aether so the object is not moving through the aether, the object is composed of the aether and the location of the object as it moves is completely re-established in a stutter step fashion as quantum action causes the high density spots to form, burst and reform. When the aether is in its high density spot phase of quantum action it is mass and when aether is expanding out of a high density spot it is an aether wave.

An object at rest still has this internal motion and the internal motion of a rest object requires a force from outside before it moves in space.

The change in terminology that I mentioned changes the reference of the medium from being a form of energy to being the presence of a universal medium that is processed by quantum action. The energy comes from the process and from the interaction of matter that forms from the process. I am using the new terminology as I integrate the new ground associated with the interaction of photons with the expanding dense state of the medium after a big bang type event. In a nut shell, in a universe that has always existed, matter, photons, and the unquantized medium have also always existed and are continually interacting in a perpetual process called quantum action.

Everything physical exists within and is surrounded by the unquantized universal medium. Everything physical is composed of the universal medium in quantum increments. The unquantized medium maintains (or always trends toward the limit of) the universal average density of the medium. It is the nature of the unquantized medium to equalize its density across contiguous space around and within matter. That equalization takes place in small events all the time at the micro level. Rarer events that are much more energetic occur at the macro level. The highest energy events at either level take place at the high density peaks that occur during the process. The ultimate high density peak forms at the macro level as a big crunch.

Matter is composed of the “universal medium” in quantum increments. Quantum motion is a continual characteristic of matter. The stage in the process of quantum action where the presence of matter is achieved is referred to as the high density spot phase. The high density spot is a threshold reached in the process. It is an instant within the quantum period when the density of the medium cannot be further increased and pivots into decrease.

The onset of the decrease in density of the medium is accompanied by the formation of a wave in the medium. The spherically expanding wave crest of the medium disburses the high density as a wave that traverses the unquantized medium surrounding it. The discrete amount of the medium transferred to the wave from the high density spot transfers a quantum of energy in the wave motion and energy is then being carried by the wave. Prior to the onset of the wave the energy was in the form of potential energy of the high density spot in the medium.

Compare that to the way that photons carry energy that is transferred to them when they are emitted from matter. Photons are a product of matter initiated by the increase in energy of particles of matter. The energy of photons is in their wave motion through the medium at the speed of light. A photon wave carries an increment of energy away from its source. Photon energy is not realized until the photon wave encounters matter. Within a maturing arena photons transfer their energy from matter and to matter and are the conduit by which energy moves between particles to redistribute and equalize potential energy of matter across the environment.

Just like photon energy is contained in the light wave, the energy of quantum action that takes place within matter is in the wave motion of the universal medium. The connection between light energy carried by photons and the potential energy of the high density medium is what perpetuates the presence of useful energy; the process causes the self renewing perpetual power that fuels the universe. The energy comes from the process and from the interaction of matter that forms from the process, i.e. there is a progression from unquantized medium to matter that allows photons to be produced that become part of the universal cosmic microwave background energy (UCMBE). That UCMBE is then incorporated in subsequent arenas and initiates the formation of matter and gravity in the new arenas.

During the period of arena maturation photon production spews photons out into the UCMBE while at the same time the matter that has formed fills the expanding arenas with galaxies and clusters that are all moving away from a center of expansion. Everything moving away from everything else cloaks the existence of center of expansion but mathematically the process of expansion can show how the cloaking occurs. The expanding arenas overlap and that initiates a gravity driven collapse of matter into the small space of a big crunch.

The resulting high density big crunch converts matter to high density unquantized universal medium. When the compression of the big crunch can no longer be contained the Big Bang occurs. It is referred to a Big Bang type of event. Maybe it is descriptive to refer to it as the burst of a big crunch but it might be better envisioned as the physical decay of the crunch that allows the potential expansion energy of the compressed medium to shoot out as a shock wave of dense state medium that forms into swirling streams or jets of unquantized matter at superluminal speeds. Presumably this wave of high density medium maintains its connection as a single event by forming a new arena. That arena will appear much like our current arena (aka our observable universe) appears to us now, some 14 billion years after our big event.

When the photons traversing the UCMBE in space surrounding the big crunch encounter the superluminal expansion of the dense state medium of the newly forming arena, high density spots occur in the medium. The spots form when photon waves carrying energy are effectively brought to a halt by encountering the superluminally expanding dense medium. It is the energy of the photon that is blue shifted into a spot of high energy density within the expanding medium.

Gravity accompanies the formation of these high density spots because the formation of each spot must at the same instant result in the presence of low density zones in the medium surrounding the high density spots. The universal medium tries to equalize the surrounding low density zone by rushing in. This rush of unquantized medium is an attempt to equalize the density across the expanding arena but that motion of the medium initiates the pull of gravity toward the spots.

The low energy density zones that form at the same time the high density spots form are conserved by the process of quantum action that keeps universal equalization of the medium from occurring. As a massive object accumulates matter due to its gravity the extent of the low density zone increases. As a massive object moves through space the high density spots and their surrounding low density zones move together and leave a growing footprint of low energy density. Matter moving through space follows the path of lowest energy density and so massive objects are drawn toward each other by the low energy density that accompanied their formation.

The relationship between expansion momentum and gravity is governed by the inverse square law. Matter forms clumps easily in close quarters, but as expansion proceeds the distance reduces the effect of gravity and increases the effect of expansion momentum. Thus mature arenas, each full of galaxies and clusters all moving away from each other at an accelerating rate, will eventually intersect and overlap.

it could be expected that the separating galaxies from one such event could encounter the galaxies from an adjacent Big Bang.

This works if and only if there is a center to every bang.

Simple graphics and math in a Euclidean coordinate system can demonstrate that there can be a center of expansion even though it cannot be detected, given two factors.

One, when matter forms in an expanding arena it is all moving away from each other. This refers to the conservation of momentum. When a particle forms within an expanding arena, expansion momentum is imparted to the particle. All particles that form are moving away from each other because of the conservation of the expansion momentum. In the early period of arena maturation gravity is strong enough to cause clumping and stable particles form and clump up to form stars, galaxies and clusters. As the arena reaches maturity the expansion momentum of the galaxies and clusters finally wins out over gravity and the clumping period ends. Galaxies and clusters separate at an accelerating rate due to the inverse square law.

Two, as the arena expands the density of the universal medium within the arena equalizes with the density surrounding the arena. This refers to the force of density equalization. The principle is that the high density within the arena pushes into and equalizes in phase with the medium outside the arena as it expands. “In phase” means that the leading wave front of expansion equalizes with the density of the medium it is expanding into across the entire spherical front as it expands. From a perspective outside the arena the force of density equalization could be viewed as a pull of high density medium into the lower density space. The volume of the arena behind the front equalizes at the speed of light in a trend toward equalization across the entire arena. The result is a time delay of light and gravity which are always emitted at the invariant speed as the volume inside the spherical arena front increases. Arena expansion causes red shifting of light and imposes the inverse square law on the effect of gravity.

If factors one and two are true then even though an arena has a center of expansion it cannot be detected from anywhere within the arena.

QWC Speculation about the cause of matter and gravity (revised post #718 for changes in terminology re the universal medium put into effect because the reference to the universal medium as energy caused too much confusion):

Let me state what I think to be true in regard to any particle with mass. They all occupy a volume of space, they are not one dimensional or two, they occupy three dimensions of space at all times. A point has no volume and cannot be a particle. A line has length but no volume and cannot be a particle. Particles with mass occupy three dimensions in space.

A particle with mass is quantized into quantum increments. All increments within matter are accounted for in whole numbers of energy quanta and energy produced in any form by matter is produced in whole quanta. Energy is said to be the ability to do work, and because matter is quantized, the traditional production of energy through work is quantized; work takes place in quantum increments just like mass is composed in quantum increments.

The gravitational field has an infinite reach due to the low density medium that continually surrounds matter due to the way matter forms.

Matter is continually maintained through a repetitive quantization process. It is characterized by the physical flow of the universal medium into and out of the high density space occupied by the particle once it is established. Thus there is a universal medium in space that and this notion opposes the views of non-aether advocates. All space contains some level of density of the universal medium. If mass is not present the medium is unquantized and its density is equalized or in the process of equalization and can only be evidenced by the fact that the process that quantizes it would explain the presence of mass and gravity. Without the universal medium there is no physical understanding of the cause of mass and gravity. Keep in mind that the universe has always existed as have arenas, and arenas are occupied by matter. There is a fixed but dynamic ratio of matter to the unquantized medium.

The above speculation of indirect evidence, i.e. the fact the particles have mass and both exert and feel gravity can be explained if gravity is the quantized flow of the medium into a high density spot and mass is the presence of high density spots in a given space within the medium. Any particle of mass would contain huge organized synchronized stable numbers of these spots that are continually refreshing their presence and location through this process of quantum action once it begins.

The quantization of matter in an arena is based on the encounter between photons that always exist in the background, and the expanding arenas of dense medium that emerge from big crunches. A big crunch is described as the encounter of two mature arenas filled with galaxies that result in the formation of a huge high density big crunch that negates matter into unquantized and dense state medium. The photons in the low density background medium are the light emitted from the charged particles that make up the galaxies in mature arenas. The universal cosmic microwave background energy (UCMBE) is the light emanated from an infinite history of the formation and disbursal of galaxy filled arenas. They perpetually feed the background with photon energy which in turn feeds new arenas with matter to form galaxies as the arenas mature.

The expansion energy of the compressed medium in space is typical of every new arena and the ever present pre-existing photons traversing space outside of the expanding arena makes for high velocity encounters between the two forms of medium; photons traveling at the speed of light and the expanding but extremely dense medium that expands at (or maybe greater than) the speed of light. Quantization is a “light speed squared” encounter between the two forms of medium to produce spots of mass in the tiny volume of space that would be associated with a traverse wave photon line of sight if it came to rest in the c^2 encounter.

Photons at rest are the result of photons that are blue shifted to a halt as they encounter the expanding arena. They become high density spots within the arena. This production of mass from photons initiates the process of quantum action, causing mass and gravity within the arena.

These high density spots have a finite density and occupy a three dimensional volume of space, i.e. they are not points in space that have infinite density. The encounter between photons traversing the universal cosmic microwave background (UCMBE) with the compressed medium of an expanding arena causes mass to form within the otherwise massless high density medium of the arena.

Photon energy is thus converted to mass with gravity. The energy of photons in the background is quantized and the photons in the background are thermalized to ~2.7 K (for discussion purposes), thus they all have approximately the same energy and this energy becomes the basis of the energy quantum that is converted to mass as the 2.7 K photons are blue shifted to a halt by the “light speed squared” encounters.

The matter is the quantized blue shifted photon and the gravity is the low density created in the space surrounding the high density of medium. The low density medium in space is swarmed by the high density medium of the bursting spots and though the spots rapidly reform, they have moved each time they reform and the low density space is still there surrounding them. Thus the low density medium surrounding the spots is conserved and perpetuates the gravitational field surrounding matter. As long as this low density space is conserved within and surrounding the vicinity of the high density spots the particle functions as mass and gravity is emanated.

QWC is the cosmology of this entropy defeating arena scale process of quantum action and the quantization of blue shifted photons that form mass in “light speed squared” encounters with the universal medium. The mass is converted back into unquantized energy in the big crunch and new unquantized expanding arenas are produced to again encounter the UCMBE and produce matter.
