i thought positivists are people who believed in the validity of empirical data and less about the validity of math. But if the math fit the data, so much more the better for positivists.

Antonio;
Guille has a great deal on his mind causing him to leave a few words out of his quote of positivism.
Positivism the way Hawking and Penrose used it in one of their books was to describe the philosophy that "if the math works reality is only of secondary importance." Of course that may just be a British definitions.

the vicinity of this place is the origin of the scientific revolution as started by Isaac Newton. The realization of a TOE would come full circle and completing the final phase of the revolutionary process.

And now I have exactly 1 hour, then the plane will leave.

Maybe they can draw a cycle:

NEWTON-EINSTEIN-HAWKING-GUILLE.

actually, it's Newton-Maxwell-Einstein-GUILLE, the 4 cornerstones of scientific foundation and empire.

Oh true, I forgot maxwell's electro-magnetism union.

But I don't want to give myself a position as hard that not even Hawking, Penrose, string theorists, Heim, many others, and specially Einstein didn't acheive, so let's wait and see.

Humm......Good question, very good question indeed....

I can't give an exact answer of the velocity and position that I will have when I acheive the TOE, because of the uncertainity principle.

But, believe me, it will be more of a struggle for me than for you, because, I am, highly probable, the most impatient person in the world.

impatience allows you to live longer because your time axis is closer to 45 degrees.
